ETA - Bag Balm and Udder Butter, on the other hand, are second to none! No color though.

My middle school best friend introduced me to Udder butter, and I’m 34 now, so I *thought * I was well aquatinted with it. But I will have to give it another try.
The lack of color isn’t a bother- like I said, not a makeup maven. Just don’t like dry, cracking lips.

Burt’s Bees has a gloss that runs a close second to ELF (Been using it for years, found on Clarence) - and I kinda hate it because I’m not a huge fan of elf, but dang it, the gloss is so good.

Someone else needs to make a comparable product.

I'm a guy, so "gloss' doesn't really roll well with me. And, I'm an ugly guy, so gloss rolls even worse with me.

To me, function is everything...and I really am out with the animals in all weather 24x7x365.

Udder Butter used to be good, but then it got trendy and expensive (so not sure anymore). All the kiddies wanted it because it was "cool". Bag Balm, on the other hand, still comes in a tub. It's not pretty, but it works..oh boy does it! It doesn't smell girly, it looks like axle grease, but the stuff works! (it doesn't look like axle grease really, more like vaseline, but it's not even close to vaseline).

My hands (finger tips in particular) split, and it hurts. No fun working with anything, even with gloves on, with split finger tips. Everything you touch hurts, and jerking your hands around animals is a bad thing (they startle and jump).

Personally, I use Carmex quite a bit on my lips (in the tube), but whenever in doubt...Bag Balm does the trick on anything dry!

ETA - Oh, and my cows love it!!

I use e.l.f. foundation. Don't remember how I ran across it. I'll have to look for the lip gloss!

That's too much of a coincidence! I literally just bought 'chicken poop' today! There was a display on the counter of our Mom & Pop pharmacy. I didn't get the mint though, just the regular. Minty poo seemed overkill!

Hubby & I used to get split fingertips.
I found out mine was from using Dawn dish soap!
Hubby's was from eating bananas that he turned out to be extremely allergic to. And the new latex gloves that they switched to at work. Until he found out what was causing it he was miserable. He had so many splits that he could hardly work! He started sealing them with Crazy Glue! It actually worked! Kept the air, water & sweat out of them & helped them heal! Even creams from the doctor didn't work. Never thought of bag balm!

Do they still make mane & tail shampoo? I'll never forget when I saw that the first time with the people shampoo!

You are doing great in showing equality of the sexes.

I find women wonderful for many reasons. Pretending ownership over them is not one.

EDIT:
As per the conversation, I try not to use moisturizers or lip balms as I've found after 20 years working in changing conditions thing can go back to normal within 10 days assuming you stay hydrated. But I do appreciate everyone being helpful to each other.
