That favors a baseball. One could even make out the seams.

Of course, something has exaggerated its appearance.

Here's the pelican thing I mentioned, it may actually benefit you at some point when you are researching things.
(Be sure to read some of the comments too, I tried to tell them what it was, but they didn't listen)

Ya that’s the thing in this field, you can tell them to your blue in the face that it was the ISS or a satellite, but they will swear up and down that it was moving at angles and what not.
I just send them an email telling them what it was and if they have any questions I’d be happy to address them.

A water droplet.

The apparently parallel lines, I suspect, are an image of something in the combined lens/droplet field of view.

It is the Nikon P900 rippling orb effect. The Nikon P900 is notorious for not maintaining auto focus on small bright light sources. The rippling effect is just atmospheric distortion.

Mick West from Metabunk has produced the following highlighting the problem with the Nikon P900.

This is perfect.

Sending it to all my Investigators now.
That way if they ever run into it In a case again, they don’t waste their time on it.

it was too out of focus on an hot day, and the heat rising creating a mirage, causing the distortions we see, is all it was.
