It's pretty much a given, that anytime Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez opens her mouth, there will be people who will get angry. Most of these people are Republicans/Conservatives who support President Trump and who think that the BS spewing out of her mouth is idiotic. I fall into that camp and so does Former ICE Director Tom Homan, who absolutely shreds AOC on Sunday Morning's “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

Homan's rage was sparked by the following comments, that AOC made yesterday at a Bernie Sander's campaign rally held in Iowa.

Click the quotes below to see them being stated during AOC's speech:
"I'm not here to reform some of these systems, when we talk about immigration. I'm here because Senator Sanders has actually committed to breaking up ICE and CBP, that's why I'm here."

“Organizing...organizing is about tipping people off if you start to see that ICE and CBP are in communities...to try and keep people safe.”

Tom Homan's response:

That’s true about half the time .

The other half she says something so stupid we laughed at her .

But then after a while even stupid quit’s being funny .

She’s use this same script on multiple occasions and it falls into the former category .

The only good thing is that ignorance like that strengthens the resolve on the right .

Asking people to break the law Sounds like treason to me.

I agree, but look at the ignorant, young adults standing behind her. These are her and Sander's followers, who've all been brainwashed and indoctrinated into believing this crap.

Comrade Bernie plays on the ignorance of his supporters, hoping that they won’t think critically about the possible implications of his radical Marxist policies. He tries to fool his supporters by claiming to support European-style welfare states, when in reality, he is a socialist at heart.

Bernie doesn’t tell them what true socialism looks like. He is being intellectually dishonest about his definition of socialism. The European model is not true socialism. True socialism is when the government owns the entire means of production of a national economy. The government tells producers how much to produce and at what price. Private property is abolished and the people become slaves to the government.

She's doing all she can to stay on board and Bernie not even realize all the damage she's doing to his campaign. Let them go down together.

AOC should not be a congresswoman in this country, she has little common sense and does not even consider doing risk assessment. But she is making points with illegal immigrants, but not the good law abiding legal resident aliens.

Bernie does that pretty well himself.

One might ask why Yang isn't 50 points ahead.

I wouldn't want to live in the US without ICE and Customs and Border Patrol.

Sex trafficking, drugs, slave labor,DUI's,RAPES would all be infinitely worse.

Not to mention national security with terrorists just being recently caught.

Cortez is an idiot.

Sanders is an even bigger idiot.

When you have a supposed lawmaker telling people to ignore the law?

They have no right to be a congressman.

Did the abuse and neglect claims at the detention centers get fully investigated?

Our immigration system is a bit broken at the moment with immigration courts taking ridiculously long.
www.usnews.com...

The nation's immigration court system is shouldering crushing caseloads, chaos and confusion.

So is ICE sending people to detention centers with a broken court system? I don't know enough about the situation but all i hear is either "deport alll illegals!" Or "don't deport any illegals "... Seems like no one is interested in fixing the actual issues.

I don't see that as always a bad thing to tell citizens to disobey a law they feel is unjust. That's what makes America great.

Im not on AOC's side, but i don't think this is "treasonous" as another poster claimed. It just seems misguided and impractical.

We are a nation of laws.

If there are laws that are "unjust", then we have lawmakers that can fix that.

And the poster was technically incorrect on calling an elected lawmaker telling people to ignore or break a law "treasonous."

They are committing a felony, however.

So one should obey and tell others to obey laws they feel are unjust?

Maybe as a lawmaker she is not doing a proper job but it seems wholly American to disobey laws that appear unjust.

Maybe she is in the wrong as a lawmaker, but in the right as a citizen who feels a unjust law is occurring.

I'd just let "IT" talk. You can not let stupid people "reason/communicate", out of an "argument/discussion".

Better to just let "IT" talk...
"Educated" people listen. Wise people see.
One can hear as much with eyes, as much as see with their ears.
When AOC opens her mouth? No harm is being done.

Yes.

If you don't like the law, get it fixed.

Until then, it is the law.

And for the record...

She's a citizen who is a lawmaker that wants more rapes, murders and violent crimes to happen because "feelz".

So she is, in fact, an idiot.

A dangerous idiot.

Well, you're probably right regarding her as a lawmaker to focus the talk on fixing laws, not breaking them.

However i completely disagree with following unjust laws in hopes they one day change. Do you think rosa parks and thousands of others in the civil rights era should have just obeyed the laws? Should nobody ever film ad gag factory farms because their lobbyists seduced lawmakers into creating an unjust law?

I wasn't aware that Rosa Parks was an elected Congresswoman.

And you do realize you are conflating the Civil Rights Movement (getting rid of Democratic Party laws like Jim Crow and Segregation) with actual law enforcement officers that are using existing laws to get rid of murderers, rapists and violent criminals?

Perhaps you should ask yourself.... Why is the Democratic Party always on the wrong side of history?

~sigh~
