this little girl who dared to have an opinion

What is so groundbreaking about her opinions?

She isn't some great mind shaping policy. She's a young Girl.

If her Facebook account had her re-posting things that were posted by her father or this UN guy from India, saying "I completely agree!" or "Read some of the issues facing our climate and possible consequences for our planet on (dad or Indian guy's page)". I would have absolutely no issue whatsoever with that. However if someone is managing her page for her, my assumption is that at least 66% of what is posted on there is by the other two parties, which means that 66% of the facts and opinions stated are not her own. Utilizing the guise of a child to try and pull something over on people does not make me want to look on your message kindly, regardless of what it may be.

If you want to spout off about any subject, and have people take you seriously, the words need to come from your mouth without assistance. This is especially true in the case of children, who as has been said, do not have quite the level of credibility built up based on age alone. I put less stock in the opinion of an 18 year old than I do in the opinion of a 40 year old, unless proven otherwise. I fail to see why that's such a difficult thing to understand for some others on this site, and in the public in general.

Edit: I say this as a guy in his late 30's, who admittedly knows absolutely nothing about most things. I know a little about a lot, and a lot about a little.

Putting aside the damn right creepy ways you haters are treating a child ( close to obsession) This has been explained already!

She does not use Facebook. To edit a page you need a profile. She does not have one, but her dad does, so if she wants to edit the page without a profile, then she will have to use another profile.

What is there not to understand here?

Seriously! Being so obsessed with a child is not good!?

Everyone except for her worshipers called that. Even I said that way back before her un speech. "How dare you. All." For those who hang on this girls message of words of her ignorant and corrupt family. Looking to make money off the weak minded and easily persuaded. I'm saddened by all of you, that we would allow this to be a thing. Any one can speak. It's the followers of that speech that scares me... (it's also the same people who wanted to hang that coventing kid)

I cant wait for our reflection moment. When all of this leads to where it's going. Will we be able to look at ourselves with pride? Or disgust?

lol funny you say worshipers. How many threads have we seen from grown adults hating on her? That is called obsession! A child! That is messed up!

"Greta" was just the latest attempt by those who would use the "climate change" approach to enact economic change.

There will be other attempts, not using logic, reason, rational thought, but emotional pleading and scare tactics to get a population to do something it normally wouldn't do. That is, giving up rights, freedoms, money for some contrived reason but ultimately to grow government.

Yep! Still waiting for the evidence!

God! I would love it if trump changes his mind on climate change! To watch you trump fanatics change your mind too would be funny!

I think it's more a matter of being pissed at her handlers and the media for trying to make her out to be some miracle child who has deep & profound experience/knowledge on climate science... when in reality she's just a kid who realistically knows very little. She's clearly being used as a tool to try and manipulate the masses via emotional response. That's what gets under my skin... if anything I feel sorry for her personally, poor kid has had her childhood taken from her by her own bloody selfish parents.

Yet another one who just wants to insult because I've busted their little balloon.

Tough cookies, Lumpy.

Your fear tactics and climate panic aren't working.

This "agenda" was allowed to gain so much traction because in this wonderful age of information, people don't research or delve any deeper than FB Insta & Twitter with an occasional nod to the tabloids. So much at their fingertips and people have become lazier than ever before. Indignation outrage and horror last seconds before the next drama comes along to infect their thought processes...briefly. We are bombarded with information & images constantly online to the point where it just seems like too much hard work and all rather pointless to actually research the facts as come tomorrow, it will be ancient history just like Greta or the Las Vegas Shooter or Epstein

The flip side of that is, when people do look into anything, they feel like they've so thoroughly researched the topic that whatever conclusion they've drawn MUST be correct. They are entrenched in their position and any suggestion that they might be wrong is unfathomable.

Of course .
So , her father has to do it for her.
Is she incapable of doing so herself ?
Or , does she have to rely on the thoughts implanted in her head by her parents ?

It IS rather telling that they can't address the merit of what has been said here and just accuse you of "hating" the girl, when in fact most members here have expressed concern for her.

Greta Thunberg is the Milli Vanilli of global activism.
Time person of the year, lol. She will have years of therapy thanks to her parents.

You're entitled to your opinion and free to ignore her posts, which is probably exactly what you did during all the time before this thread. That's something I could relate to, and I'd generally agree with your stance if the MSM wouldn't be sensationalizing every single thing she utters. She's obviously more of a public figure than a simple Greta, why not act like it?

Let's say Trump has a few aids posting on his Twitter account, did he instrumentalize them for his politics or was it the other way around? Simple logic, not exactly the friend of muddy threads.

I could post a picture of you holding hands with Dick Cheney if you wouldn't be such an anonymized Rapepublican. But that wouldn't make my hypothesis of an instrumentalized burdman stick, either.

No, I didn't say you should post your credentials. Nor did I utter any theory that said so. It's a drift on a picture without context, you've got it?

not surprising that an anti-American who endorses socialism would disagree with me.

You're more anti-American than I could ever imagine to be, especially when it comes to immigration. And your socialism for the rich isn't exactly my platform, either.

Nice try. Try harder?

Just more anti-American nonsense.

Don't you have a flag to burn or some rights to deny?

As hilarious as watching all the Leftists scramble to change course and suddenly call Climate Change a non-issue just because it's impossible for them to bless anything Trump supports?

It's funny, Trump asked a question about strengthening gun laws and the majority of his base strongly disagreed with it but did so in a mature manner that didn't instantly toss the baby out with the bathwater. Yet sure, we'd automatically support measures to fight the imaginary boogeyman of climate change if the POTUS change course on it... SUUUURE we would.

What do you need me for when it's about painting opinions anti-american? You're doing fine, carry on!

I don't burn flags, but I will reclaim them for the fine arts once I'm running out of canvas. But what is it with you and this myth of denied rights?

DONALD TRUMP LOSES SUPPORT OF WHITE NATIONALIST RICHARD SPENCER OVER IRAN FALLOUT

Ah, ok. That denied right...

No worries! [snipped] Just try not to meddle with the... errr... "evidence".

You've become irrational.

And if it's me saying it, then perhaps you have an issue.

But *shrugs* go on be Hatey McHaterFace.

And do TRY to come up with something original.

Please.

Here, let me help.

Next time make fun of my weight since I'm a fat old man. Say something like, "And this is coming from a guy who is so fat that when he goes camping. . . . bears hide their food!"

It'll be more fun to read than your drollish retorts.

Just give me a shout if you need me to feed you something actually funny to insult me with. It'll make for better reading.

So that means when we were hating Greta we were actually hating her dad.

One day when she gets old, she'll hate her dad too for using her.
