I went and saw this film last night, I was in awe!

Anyone who knows me knows my passion for WW1 and the battlefields and this movie just knocked it out of the park.

The scenes and attention to detail, nothing short of amazing!

The filming as well, for those that dont know its not your typical cinematic.

The length of the scenes are 20-30minutes long - what i mean is there are no cut scenes they are 1 long continuous shoot. It must have been difficult for the cast to film

If you havent seen this movie yet, take the time to drive as long as you need to, to the best cinema you can find.

It was trench warfare. About as far away from reality as possible. It was the US that put an end to it. Used mechanical mobilization to shield troops and push out of it. Didn't work great but good enough. We lost something like 50K Soldiers. Nothing like that will ever happen again.

The Tank was invented by the British.

Try looking it up.

Mechanical is more than just tanks. Anything with wheels and a motor. Could be engineering trucks. But what do I know. I only took a college course at the Citadel on the History of Modern Warfare.

Actually , the French had already developed the first prototype. The British were the first to deploy on a battlefield.
Try looking it up.

And , in the post you replied to was no mention of who invented the military tank. The US had them in WW1 and used them exactly as posted.
Try looking it up.

You might want to ask for a refund of you were left with the impression that it was US mechanized forces that ended either WW1-or trench warfare.

Next we will hear that Russia invented the tank.

It was a British invention.

If the French had invented it ... it would have had one forward gear and six gears for reverse.

Who teaches you this rubbish ?

Here are the REAL facts.

The British Army was already the most mechanised in the world when the Great War began, in terms of use of mechanical transport.

You missed the qualifier in that statement.
(bold by me for subject matter)
Why do folks not read with comprehension and look over sentence qualifiers ?

What year did the Great War begin?

What year did The U.S. join the war?

It's not rocket science you know .

The very first British tank (and the first in the world at the same time) derived from a number of projects dating back to the early 1915 stalemate

Again , the first tank deployed was the UKs Little Willy
The first tank prototype was French from earlier.
You need some reading comprehension refreshes.
