yes, the nature and construct of our capitalist republic form of government means a lot to us, especially when there is a perception that this process is being subdued or undermined. no kings here, only mortal men and women cut from similar cloth, fighting for our continued liberty.

we as americans would rather a three ring circus organization instead of a one way highway. we can't expect you to understand this either, what with you not understanding our nation's history as well as we do.

unfortunately this response makes your perspective seem uneducated, and in poor taste.

also, with reference to the "ringmaster who nobody takes seriously," you are making another grave misrepresentation of how our government works. a president should never be confused with a ruler - the meaning within this distinction is exactly why our founding fathers chose to start a republic, instead of a kingdom.

lastly, i'm not sure why you chose to take this argumentative path. tread carefully, and look inward - are your monarchs any less of a s#!tshow?

What the WH is withholding is legally running its course thru the courts...Democrats didn't want to wait for the results since it would have interfered with their real objective which is to turn public opinion against Trump by impeaching him (without evidence) to keep him from winning the next election...

But what's funny is that they are still trying to convict Trump (in the court of public opinion) for collusion with Russia...They want grand jury testimony which they aren't entitled to...The Mueller report is done...The investigation is gone...They want to tie the Mueller report with their impeachment fiasco even after Mueller said there was no there, there...

As American, I have made the same comparison of our government has become a 3 ring circus as well. Trump is the new ringmaster, he is just directing the audience attention to the ring that will provide entertainment while the other rings set up for their next act.

In the circus, all coordinate to create the best show possible since they have limited time before the tent comes down. They mainly repeat the same show over and over again, but often need to expand their acts to ensure continued interest.

Operation mind crime may not understand how circuses work, but the comparison to our government are not far off the mark. Trump obviously is being taken seriously since he has everybody's attention for good or bad.

i appreciate the response. i guess where i disagree with you is in the sense that a circus is a show for the audience, whereas our "circus" is a show that includes the audience.

we have a say in what happens in this country, and we have a say as to what should happen in our country. that's more than i can say for the remnants of King James' most staunch 2020 supporters.

Let's revisit madness:

1. Trump must be impeached. He is an existential threat!

2. Rush to impeach in House.

3. House adjourns for Holidays despite "existential crisis" that can only be solved through removal.

4. House sits on articles attempting to control Senate despite "existential crisis" demanding removal ...

At this point, you have to wonder ... if the crisis were this terrible, wouldn't partisanship fall to preservation?

7. House still will not allow impeachment trial because ... reasons.

Honestly, they claim we have a rogue president consigning us to nuclear armageddon and the only remedy to save us is impeachment and removal. But I guess Republicans want to die or something? They want nuclear hellfire? They want to rule a radioactive wasteland?! How nuts is Pelosi to think people aren't figuring out how little sense this all makes?

You people get nothing right.

Pelosi is holding the articles until the Senate gets together and agrees to hold a real trial like the constitution says. Why not?

You all are 100% sure that Trump did nothing wrong, so he walks and the Dems get embarrassed. Given your statements and beliefs that is the worse thing that can happen, right? Then let the witnesses talk and share what they know. The fact that Senate won't allow this is clear evidence in any thinking person's mind, that Trump and the Republicans are indeed hiding things that point to Trumps guilt.

The people are watching. It will really be surprising if the Repubs win ANY seats after this clear obstruction and violation of the constitution. But if they fold , let the witnesses speak, which will undoubtedly lead to Trumps removal, they also will not keep any seats. They have painted themselves in a corner all for supporting a guy who doesn't really stand for what they believe in, in the first place.

No. She's holding the articles trying to control the process because the last thing they can stand is actual due process.

They want to dictate the terms so the trial is the same Kangaroo Process that took place in the House; either that or they know they did their best to railroad the president through an unfair process and themselves and fear in kind retaliation from the Senate because they cannot conceive of anyone behaving other than they do.

As it happens, it doesn't seem it will matter.

McConnell said send them or we'll deem them invalid, and she may be blinking.

That's false, but of course an "international left-winger" whom hates Trump as much as socialists/communists/democrats do would make such a claim...

If the POTUS wasn't being taking seriously by anyone you wouldn't have Republicans fighting for him, and he wouldn't have supporters...
