They're not turning them over to Boeing, but they were always going to be. Since it happened in Iran they're the lead investigative agency.

was already screen grabbed, however don't you have to upload it to your members section or something rather than just use img tags to link from a image host like imgur?

This is a piece found at the crash site of a Ukrainian passenger plane that fell in front of a resident's home. Other Photos are the missiles of the Russian tor-m system that are owned by Iran . #PS752

Haven't been able to find any verification the photo is from the crash site. You able to find any more info on it?

Not yet. The source also appears to be US based. Watching a few accounts that are trying to verify.

Edit: geolocation impossible from that angle. Need more photos to verify.

Another pic that popped up on zerohedge appears to show a puncture to part of the plane. Can anyone ID what part of the plane this is?

First pic is original, second has puncture circled.

Puncture appears large and obviously I can't say it didnt happen when the plane hit the ground, but it stood out to me.

That's part of the wing. Looks like the root area.

Thanks....also...any idea what portion this is? Appears internal but there is a large puncture in it as well.

Fuselage wall most likely. That's the only thing that should be that big and that shape.

Would those punctures be consistent with shrapnel from an SAM?

Looks like the tip of a wing, might be the under side...least thats what it appears to be to me.

It's the wing root, near the fuselage.
