www.nbcnews.com...

Dozens of people died in a stampede Tuesday during the funeral procession for Qassem Soleimani, the top Iranian commander killed in an American airstrike last week, emergency service officials told state media.

Soleimani's burial was postponed after as many as 50 people were killed and more than 200 others were injured during the crush in his hometown, Kerman, Iran's ISNA news agency said, quoting the chief coroner for Kerman province, Abbas Amian, according to Reuters.

Other sites are reporting the number of dead at 56. We're to believe Iran is a great threat... a global super power unlike any the US has faced in many, many years. Yet they somehow can't manage to put the broken body of a terrorist asshat into the cold ground without fumbling their way through a procession and stampling 5 dozen of their fellow mourners to death in the process.

Retarded Hydra... chop off one head and 5 dozen heads also fall off the beast.

Look on the bright side. If they have an equally large funeral for those folks, there could be more stampedes. They will end up wiping themselves out before our missiles do the job

I don't think anyone is under the impression they're going to come over here and conquer us.

Iraq's military pretty much surrendered upon our arrival.

I'm not going to defend Iran, act like it's not an oppressive dictatorship, or even act like they're a formidable threat.... But if we get dragged into a drawn out military presence, the region has taught us insurgents will just tag us here and there.

Of course some on the left are going to act like this could bring us down for good. They're wrong though. Iran can't touch us at home other than a few chaotic hits through proxy.

I just wonder how many trillions we'll have to get a loan out for this run. Life at home will still seem just about the same just like Afghanistan and Iraq... Maybe we'll pay a little more at the pump, and watch our purchasing power take a small hit from the added debt.

Either way... This sucks. F Iran if they hurt any Americans. I just hope we don't feed them more, because those that drink caliphate Kool aid don't care how many they lose... We do care about ours.

We have a system where it does not matter how much the war costs. As long as people keep paying for goods and services with electronic means with fees and purchase illicit drugs, this empire can pay for and wage war for eternity.

People who have crunched the numbers by now have to realize, our defense budget is not covered by taxes alone.

I believe it's spelled 'Martrydumb' it's derived from ancient Sumerian I just made up.

Nothing good ever comes from religion, Muslims believe in peace until their faith is threatened, which is why we need to bug out of the middle east.

I asked the husband what his final word on all of this was today. The people in the US who have no clue and are going loony.. loving this weird culture of fear and with things like this stampede in the news. He had 2 words for me from a Tool song : DUMBFOUNDED DIP#S.

On base its calm and normal.. bx not bad. Outside of base Walmart is a madhouse. Mainly the dumbfounded dip#s who live their lives on facebook and use it as their main WOKE news source. I recall when Bush declared war.. the asshat gas stations had lines and jacked the prices up. Apparently the dumbfounded dip#s somehow reproduced and fueled another generation of them.

The universe needs to cool its jets.. or as my one kid says " calm your tits)" cause I want to worry more about Aussie destruction and aliens and Puerto Rico earthquakes than Iran. Iran has been a pain in the ass my whole life.. I need some doom variety.

Once the USAF turned Iraq into the world's only million hole golf course.

I think it's a tradition with them. Whenever they gather in large numbers for any reason, some of them must die. Look what happens when they protest things. They get violent and end up killing their own.

Yeah,, and they dont even drink or do drugs to blame it on. When my family gathers in large numbers someone might die and someone is definitely getting hurt regardless... but at least its preceded by liquor or meth or something.

I guess they say women cannot go around uncovered and without a male familial escort because they so excite the passions of other men.

I guess this seems to underscore that teaching if they cannot gather in large numbers without so losing control of their collective emotional state that they end up doing harm to each other to this extent. I can't think of anything else it would be except wildly uncontrolled emotional states.

No wonder the left is so deeply sympathetic to them - they're well on their way down that path too.

sorry but didn't the Trump admin call Iran the greatest threat to America?

if they're so puny why do we keep bombing the puny and not the mighty...

Because the mighty aren't funding terrorist militia attacks against US troops and interests. Come on, this isn't rocket science despite the struggles of some to grasp these simple concepts.

Ever seen a baby burqa? Im not joking. Being THAT out of control of yourself is sad. I agree.

Groups of people who are infected with some groupthink or religious excitement hysteria are a spooky crowd. Ever seen a piranha feeding frenzy? They bite chunks out of each other and eat each other while attacking the prey. HUmans are supposed to be more sensible or aware. Guess not.
