Well, Iran has shown a willingness to sponsor attacks on US consulates and embassies in the Middle East. Embassies are legally US land, meaning so long as the US is an active participant in Middle East diplomacy, there are US sites within reach of whatever nuclear weaponry Iran develops.

Iran simply does not have the ability for a global conflict.

The US could land a hundred Tomahawks a day from 1500 miles away on Iran military and govt targets.

Iran does not have that capability. The only conflict they can win is a ground war inside their borders. Trump will not do that. The US doesn’t have to do that to neutralize Iran.

Its always been a game, just not to the poor sods that die for other people's political wet-dreams and agenda.

Used them pretty overtly on Japan if memory serves, nukes that is.

And history does have somewhat of a penchant for repetition.

Nukes are nowhere near ready to be used yet, but i would not back Iran to much into a corner coz they probably have a few or have purchased some warheads.

Not going to hit you but Israels a perfect target.

I wonder how many Iran's missiles struck other Iranian missiles. I mean if they can't even get through a funeral without stampeding dozens of fellow mourners to death, can they successfully launch multiple missiles in shared airspace without accidentally intercepting their own armaments?

That’s the other thing. I’m confident there are no oilfields in Tehran. Eliminating oil producing capabilities would buckle Iran.

It was an eminence front. Iran could have fired those missiles at US Navy ships. They made sure a low risk of US casualties.

If none of the missiles hit anything important, then that was probably on purpose. Perhaps the attack was just for show.

Much like Trump's response to the fake Syrian chemical attacks: a missile salvo that looks tough (and satisfies the hawks), but doesn't actually escalate the situation.
