Why listen to a Secretary?

All they do is get coffee and type memos and do their nails.

pfft.

Like a "secretary" will know anything.

Get real man!

GET REAL!

All the more so now that his account has suddenly been deleted.

Wow, this is really bizarre, I just looked at that too. It was using his same picture from LinkedIn and seemed to have quite a few posts.

It's right to be skeptical of the OP source but reuptable agencies have confirmed it's genuine with the US.

Have they since the Sec Def said we're not leaving?

Yes (see the rest of my post - the letter is misleading and OP report is false, the US is removing troops from Baghdad greenzone but not Iraq. (did edit my post but mods may be able to confirm that was prior to DefSec's update) - the 100 -150 figure is being being typed up as copy for AP/Reuters at the moment, should be published in next 5 mins - details are they're redeployed within Iraq and Kuwait, full plans were shown to the press a day or two ago but embargoed.

Us millitary confirmed it was a genuine letter just over an hour ago, content is misleading though.

The letter being circulated by RT, and allegedly verified by the now removed Twitter account of Rick Dickson, says leaving Iraq, not just the Green Zone (IZ).

Yep. Three year old account, plenty of posts and retweets. Very odd indeed but if he said something he wasn’t supposed to have said and it got him got, the shut down makes sense.

This is the one the US millitary confirmed is genuine - it's poorly written and doesn't make it clear if full or partial withdrawal. As it's not signed and is so poorly constructed it's probably more a case of 'genuine but not ratified' - may have been one of several options on the table.

www.theguardian.com...

The truth is it's only a repositioning as Esper stated.

www.telegraph.co.uk...

Edit: Just been confirmed by US it was genuine but a draft and the release was a 'mistake' - strange how Iran was the source of the leak was an Iraqi TV station funded by Iran, perhaps cyber attacks are ramping up?

The letter that was posted was a draft, which is why it wasn't signed.

Well that's it then, unsigned draft letter that shouldn't have been released.

Good, now let's leave the entire middle East.

Reality check: We aren't leaving that region, and probably not even leaving Iraq.

www.rt.com... is dated 2009 I would not take this any more serious than gossip or opinion.

Me thinks everybody is taking this way to seriously, ain't nothing gonna happen but some blustering on both sides

Any good conspiracy theorist would say the Iranians likely worked the assassination out with Trump months ago as the general was becoming a political threat.

I have no proof or scrap of evidence, but hey... conspiracy, brah.
