Is the Pillar of Cloud in the Bible the same as cigar shaped U.F.O.'s today?

I disagree, if that U.F.O. descended, hovered in front of you, a voice talked to you and it carried you away today that would be amazing. Just imagine how it was for the ancients who saw this.

Hard to tell where a sighting ends and a myth starts, so I don't know. People love to embellish and take literary license, particularly on stories hundreds of years old, particularly when they're trying to justify their leadership decisions. I suppose that's where knowledge ends and belief begins. Pics or it didn't happen, right?

You quoted an unsourced manuscript from Graham Hancock. A quick Google search would have discovered this but you're just blindly posting.

I already know Graham Hancock is crank, I watched him on Rogans podcast. Your response to Hancock is perfect, it illustrates everything wrong with ancient aliens and even moreso cigar shaped ufos in Exodus which doesn't even have the support of crank writers. By acknowledging something unsourced it now takes all of your evidence right off the board. For ancient aliens and ancient mythology.

So, moving on.....

You think I failed to respond because you seem to think a "response" means denial and name calling. Which are certain things you have repeated.

An opinion that's not backed up by any evidence.

No evidence, except the worlds leading biblical archeologist, the most recent PhD Jesus historicity study, the entire biblical historicity field and the Jewish encyclopedia to name a few.

That's a violation of commandment 9.

Btw...I talked to my boss at work some years back, concerning my ET communication contact in 1972 (kinda previously explained in my last post on page 7). He confided too me...that the biblical story of Jonah and Whale = Jonah and the ET starship was on the Ancient Aliens TV show.

Has anybody seen that Ancient Aliens show on the subject?

Since I have not --- I welcome any comments.

This program goes through the original ancient aliens show and religious art historians and other specialists explain how the images are not ufos but representations of the sun/moon used in all resurrection art.
Many other aspects are debunked some show the original artifacts so you can see how pictures of ancient artifacts were edited to look more like spaceships and all sorts of other trickery.
While you can believe whatever you like if you are interested in believing true things you should at least watch this and weigh it against the original ancient aliens show and decide for yourself.

I thought the Ancient Aliens program was possibly on to something interesting until I saw the experts weigh in and I realized I had fallen for more people taking advantage of ufo people with false information.

www.youtube.com...

Between ANcient aliens, Lazar, Roswell and abductions the ufo field is sitting right around Big Foot. So when actual interesting cases happen no credible resource is going to be willing to investigate, no financial backers will be interested in funding research teams or devoting airtime to talking about the case. Nor will credible people who have sightings be at all interested in coming forward and being lumped in with crackpots.

So that's that. Lazar made his Netflix money and the ufo writers made some money on abductions and conspiracies but serious investigations that need funding will never happen.
Steve Greer managed to ruin the UFO Hunters show by getting his bogus "alien star child body" on an episode and the network execs pulled that show right then. Oh well. The truth is out there and it's staying out there.

Please...don't forget to post about the biblical tale of "Jonah and the Whale." I believe the tale is also printed in the Koran. It is a tale that most religions can understand --- But ET's version...has Jonah taken aboard a starship, instead of being swallowed by a whale.

I happened to have had a first contact experience with an ET back in 1972, and I believe that the Jonah and the Whale tale was what he was trying to communicate too me --- Which was in the form of a laser holographic image imprinted on a photograph that I took with a camera.

Super interesting...

Can u post the photo by any chance?

Great thread OP. I do believe that you are on point with the Bible describing UFO’s and it’s pretty obvious lol.

One thing I can add is that yes other religions do describe UFO’s and aliens too. OP kept posing the question and I’m not sure if he believed it was unique to the Bible?

Anyway yes Hinduism is absolutely loaded with reports of flying machines and creatures, vimanas. There are many illustrations that I’m not going to try to post right now because I’m using a phone and I’m not going to mess with that right now.

But Hinduism is pretty blatantly clear about spelling out flying machines / creatures / advanced deities from other planets.

There are stone carvings of it, paintings etc.

Buddhism probably has less such content except that it is definitely always taught in Buddhism that there exists aliens, ghosts, etc.

The deva realm in both Hinduism and Buddhism is the heavenly realm of advanced beings flying around the skies... which sounds a lot like aliens flying spacecraft.

The Buddha’s birth story seems to include his mother being... divinely visited by a white “elephant” with “six tusks” which touched her stomach with its “tusks” while she was pregnant with him...

So not a “virgin birth” but it sure sounds like aliens somehow manipulated her pregnancy to become the Buddha... so there’s genetic engineering right there.

Anyways thanks for the thread OP and the Hindu content is especially filled with aliens from other planets and flying machines.

So no it’s not limited to one religion but it’s rather much more compelling that similar content is found through other religions too.
