The Daily Kos? Seriously? Thats the same as a Republican using the Conservative TreeHouse or Gateway Pundit.

The article was referencing twitter posts. Does this mean once The Daily Kos makes an article referencing what someone else is saying means what the other people are saying is now meaningless propaganda? This makes the Daily Kos extremely powerful!

This thread is the biggest GD joke I've seen in awhile.

Following the strikes against the ARAMCO refinery last summer, Saudi officials have sought multiple paths to reduce future risks from augmented defenses to seeking agreements from other parties not to support such attacks.

So the butcher of Baghdad was playing 'peace maker' ?

www.dailykos.com...

The Quds Force (Persian: سپاه قدس‎ sepāh-e qods)[3] is a unit in Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) specializing in unconventional warfare and military intelligence operations.Responsible for extraterritorial operations,[4] the Quds Force supports non-state actors in many countries, including Lebanese Hezbollah, Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, Yemeni Houthis, and Shia militias in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan.[4]

Analysts estimate the Quds has 10,000–20,000 members.[5] The Quds Force reports directly to the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Khamenei.[6][7] It was commanded by Major General Qasem Soleimaniuntil he was killed by a U.S. drone strike at Baghdad International Airport on 3 January 2020.[8][9][10] Brigadier General Esmail Ghaani was appointed as commander of the Quds Force on the same day.[11]

It's a given FACT that Soleimani was DIRECTLY responsible for those attacks on Aramaco.

A multi-trillion dollar oil company.

How about the usual suspects stop peddling straight out LIES.

Effing Daily KoS.

Yup he was appointed to oversee talks between Iran and Saudi/US to avoid a war. The first meetings took place on October 14th last year, it's been heavilly reported in press across the world since. Saudi, Iraq and Iran leaders publicly announced this was occuring late September last year.

www.nytimes.com...

There's plenty of evidence he was doing this - 'peace envoy' is a tiny bit of a stretch as it was more of a mediation role, but he was sought after by the US and Saudi as he was a moderate who was a politician/strategist who rarely if ever attended mosque or prayed compared to his peers/replacement who are extreme hardliners.

The butcher of Baghdad was Al Zaaqiri - completely different person and a terrorist leader Suleiman was in charge of fighting against.

Still wondering why they had to drone-bomb the guy??

Could they not have arrested him?

Peace

How are they going to arrest him. He has an army and an army of moles protecting him. Are you saying Obama could have just told Pakistan to arrest Osama. Not trying to insult your intelligence but this is not how the real world works.

Im not sure that makes things any better. The folks screaming about this now would still act like a cat that had a leash put on it.

What would he be charged with? And who would try him?

better grab the whole salt shaker while reading this fish wrapper your gonna need it.
about the source,

LEFT BIAS These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy. See all Left Bias sources.

Overall, we rate the Daily Kos strongly Left Biased based on story selection that almost exclusively favors the left. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to non-vetted content as well as a few failed fact check and misleading claims.

Trump killed a valuable ally in the US's war on terror.

Yeah....one "Ally" who was responsible for 15% Of US Deaths in Iraq and thousands of US troops losing limbs.

You'd think he would have won the Nobel Peace Prize, he's such a humanitarian. Has he?

General Soleimani

Soleimani assassinated returning from Peace mission to Saudi ARABIA, Trump lied

Trump & Pompeo lied about assassination of General Qassem Soleimani. They knew he was returning from Saudi Arabia to bring peace to the Gulf region. TRUMP KNEW HE WAS ON A DIPLOMATIC MISSION carrying a letter from SAUDI king to Iran & not posing an imminent threat TO THE us embassy.

One good deed does not absolve a man of past sins. The man is a middle eastern version of A german who ordered thousands of jews killed in camps. And besides the papers prolly had a hidden tracker in them and the saudis set him up.

The "past sins" and "terrorism" were part of the lie.

Soleimani fought alongside the US against Saddam Hussein. Soleimani fought alongside the US against Al-Queda. Soleimani fought alongside the US against ISIL.

Soleimani had just landed in Iraq (on a peace mission with a letter from Saudi Arabia) and was coming away from Baghdad airport when he was killed. I haven't seen even as much as an inference that he was involved in the embassy or airfield attacks. He wasn't even in the country at the time of the attacks and was trying to solve diplomatic issues between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. He just wasn't a terrorist, ever.

Trump killed a valuable ally in the US's war on terror.

Yah right...And he stopped off in Israel and shared a a pot of tea with Bibi...

And of course this terrorist was involved in the embassy attacks as well as the just murdered Americans...This was the head guy in Iraq...He's responsible for all of it...

But his boss lives in Iran...If he was carrying a little letter from his peace mission he would have flown to Iran to deliver the letter...

Because a majority of the Iraqi parliament is controlled by Iran. One might also wonder how the General of the country's greatest enemy can just casually saunter through its airport too.

But, no ... no one has stopped to wonder that one. This same general was certainly active and involved in the Iraq/Iran war.

I give it 3 more days and General Suligoat-humper will be canonized as Saint Suli by the left.

And it's not an insult to Trump. It's not even an attack on Trump. We all know the left hates Trump, this is no big surprise.

This is an insult to every dead or maimed soldier caused by the cowardly terrorist SuliCheese-floater.

This just shows how little regard the left really feels about our veterans. They (the left) would rather celebrate the killer of our soldiers than our soldiers.

And I find that absolutely disgusting.

Sounds like someone was in love with the Soleimani Salami.. The guy killed our troops. One is too many according to the left when it comes to gun violence but they will give this murderous nutbag a pass? He went quick and that was too good for the evil her perpetrated but good and gone nevertheless..

Remember, all brown people of non-American, non-Western cultures are virtuous victims, no matter what, and every single heinous thing they do is because we had it coming for being white and Western.

That's the mindset of the left. They'd have us all sing a mutual suicide pact if they could.

If he was returning FROM Saudi Arabia what was he doing in Iraq???

Logic tells me he wouldn't make a pit stop in Iraq for a pizza.

Your thread stinks as much as much as this guys rotting corpse. All 5000 pieces of it.

As you noted most of the way-back links do not work. Yet, directly from one of the links that did work:

Suleimani took command of the Quds Force fifteen years ago, and in that time he has sought to reshape the Middle East in Iran’s favor, working as a power broker and as a military force: assassinating rivals, arming allies, and, for most of a decade, directing a network of militant groups that killed hundreds of Americans in Iraq.

Assassinating and killing. Sure he did it for his God and country. I can see why some in Iran idolized him. However, if you want to play that game on a world stage, do not be surprised when you die by the same sword.

The article speaks mostly from Adil Abdul-Mahdi's POV. He is Shiite. So is Iran. What else would you expect?

BTW, I saw Daily Kos had some Suleimani action figures for sale. You can collect the whole play set.
