I thought this was a strange statement as well. But then I realized it was him creating a catch phrase. He will be quoted in the future for it.

I find it hilarious that so many of you are living for this. This is the real manipulation of media that you're all usually upset about, part of it at least.

You can even hear some claps in the background that quickly die down... I can almost feel the glaring eyes on those clappers. Still... they tried. They knew it was true but everyone else in the room just sucked it all in and wore it as a badge of honor.

Even if Gervais didn't mean it, those words didn't just come from nowhere. No matter how and from whom it was said, it still needed to be said. It were the words that rang truth - not the comic saying them.

I did enjoy his way of putting it, though. It was freaking hilarious! Commie bastard or not.. I love his comedy much of the time. I wouldn't vote for him for any kind of office and he isn't running for any or trying to push it down peoples throats so I'm good with that.

This country is indeed COMPLETELY divided, and for good reason.

It is too big, and TOO diverse.

Why am I ( in the Midwest ) in the same country as people living in California, the population of which doesn't agree with me about 80% of life?

This country NEEDS to be divided physically, in order to reflect the fact we are not the same people / culture in the whole place any longer.

Just saying. Learn to love the 'divided', and lets please LIVE by it if we can too.
