But they haven't actually attempted to diagnose him with any specific disorder, they've simply just expressed there opinion about his mental state, which is obviously based on their professional experience.

I don't see how that can be perceived as an ethical violation. Why should a person be excluded from expressing there freedom of speech on a particular subject, simply because their actually qualified to give it?

They've no more information than you or I do. Given the obvious political bias, maybe less.

Do you not see the issue with rendering an "opinion" without all the information that would be garnered by an examination? Especially since they supposedly are experts. Ethics should forbid them from doing this...but apparently politic outweigh ethics when it's "orange man insane".

...and watching clips from Fox or CNN isn't an examination, not even close.

Just as an example... I bet theirs been a few people who have posted here, who you have (rightfully so) instantly recognized as being 10 cents short of a dollar, just from a few posts... and your not even an expert.

Think about it!

It may only be ethically appropriate to 'formally' diagnose a person of a specific mental illness after an extensive person to person interaction... But the fact is, its generally perfectly clear that a person has issues, even if your not an expert and have only observed it indirectly.

Don't get me wrong either, I'm all for people who suffer from a mental illness to be given the opportunity to prove themselves in leadership positions... But the POTUS? Come on!

With all the stress it involves and the ridiculously large amount of arsenal he has direct access too... not a a good combination... imho.

The two main areas that psychiatrists concentrated on were sterilization and euthanasia.
