Hospitals ignore DNR's. Especially Jesus hospitals.

Personally, I have a clause in my living will and DNR orders that state very clearly that neither myself nor my family members will be responsible for any financial costs incurred if they ignore my wishes.

I will also very plainly verbally and in writing inform them that I do not agree to any care whatsoever unless they inform me, in writing, what the cost will be, before the care is provided. Haven't had to do this yet because I don't go to doctors for general health concerns, but I'm wondering how it would hold up in court.

It was only a matter of time before govt run healthcare officially deemed it more cost effective to terminate you than keep you alive or attempt to cure you.

One wrinkle I just thought of...

What if the person has life insurance? It is my current understanding that life insurance policies will not pay out if the person commits suicide.

The laws will have to be updated.
