YES THAT HAS OCURRED to Xi Jin Ping & Vladimir Putin because both have frequently made statements to that effect. IT IS president TRUMP &SECRETARY Pompeo who ceaselessly ramp up tensions with NORTH korea &Iran like naughty five year olds

Maybe it’s not their best. Maybe it’s release is to keep Americans afraid of the bear, and keep funding the arms race against the big bad threat.

I highly doubt this is the first those in know are first aware of this tech if real, and a counter plan isn’t already operational if needed.

Boost glide weapons have been around for a long time. The first known concept for a boost glide weapon was in 1941. Nothing they've introduced recently is radical new technology. They're doing the same thing everyone else does and are following a logical course of development and upgrade.

The US chose to... instead of heavily fund R&D in its hypersonic missile development 30+ years ago, to heavily fund - Star Wars, space based laser system, knowing space was the new high ground and knowing they’d be able once fully developed to zap anything out the skies/space at the speed of light rather than the speed of well... hypersonic

Rail Guns would also be cost effective hypersonic rounds

Russia come 3rd after China because China also chose to advance into the high ground with space based weapons, Russia just doesn’t have the funding to do anything other than hypersonic missiles and defensive capabilities
