Trump on the other hand, has mounds of evidence he was withholding aid unless dirt was given up on Biden... whoa.

And you have presented none.

. If Trump had instead used normal channels for the investigation this would never happened. He is on trial for violating the law, which he did, but probably didn't have to.

Which law did Trump violate and what evidence do you have to prove this?

You stated....

I think you're playing down the fact he's using tax payers money as bargaining chips to investigate a political opponent.

If this is such a fact then prove it. Links and sources. And feel free to quote from that Trump Ukrainian phone call transcript.

Anyway, if the White House will be obstructing by not allowing witness testimony, Biden might as well too.

Does Biden have executive privilege in order to do so?

trump withheld aid to shakedown the newly elected president of Ukraine to get him to announce an investigation

That's weird because before the phone call was even made, the Ukrainian president had already opened an investigation. That is a fact.

He certainly could invoke it. He was President Obama's Vice President, assigned to the international envoy overseeing the distribution of a $1 billion loan, to enforce the Obama Administration's anti-corruption policy.

If Vice President Joe Biden can be called, to testify about firing the prosecutor, then Vice President Mike Pence should also be called to talk about his conversation with Valensky, and Mike Pompeo should be called to talk about the firing the US Ambassador.

He no longer holds executive powers. Also he would be called for on things that relate to Trumps impeachment trial so your notion of call Pence and Pompeo doesnt make any sense unless they have something to add to the matters of Trumps impeachment trial.

Also here is Joe Biden's latest statement.....

By Saturday evening at a town hall in Fairfield, Iowa, Biden seemed to reverse himself. He told a crowd there he would comply with a subpoena.

"Well, first of all, I would obey any subpoena that was sent to me," he said after an audience member asked him about the issue.

So I guess that's that.

Biden must have gotten the polling numbers and seen how the public was responding to his hypocrisy. If your going to nail Trump with obstruction of Congress; then you will have to hit Biden with it too if he does not obey the subpeona.

He won't be subpoenaed but he has already reaffirmed that if he is, he of course would respond because he is not in the habit of breaking the laws. Unlike somebody else we all know.

Too bad you guys just keep forgetting that the guy that Biden supposedly had fired was still in his position five months later when polling showed he would lose his election so he quit.

Convenient to forget that though right?

Cuz without that there is no story.... to bad so sad.

I'm sorry... Wut?

Impeach Obama you say? Go after Hillary for her state department?
yeah okay...

And you know they had the house and the senate and the DOJ and the presidency for all of 2017 and 2018 before the dems got the house back this January right? Why didn't they do that when they had the chance?

Well for one because Obama is no longer president and Hillary is no longer secretary of state.
Time to learn to let go.

Something I've pondered, since the discussion always turns to Shokin..

Why would the "good guys" poison the "corrupt" Shokin?

Ohhhh yes, he broke the law so many times, and was so stupid about it, that the Dems could only come up with two articles of impeachment. And they are fairly weak when scrutinized.

Meanwhile, at the very least in his 4 decade career, Biden has walked the tightrope between weird old guy and serial sexual harasser. And he doesn't think there's anything wrong with it. Wonder what else he's done based on that assumption.

He went on tv and asked china to investigate him!

Really? I listed 17 facts that exonerate Donald Trump, and you give me a ten-word accusation that addresses none of them? Really?

49 letters, including spaces... that's less than 3 keystrokes per point.

Is that really the best you can do? Are you that incompetent?

I imagine not..right now.

Would he be able to claim privilege on events that occurred when he was directed by executive?

It's all a stupid game anyway.

Viktor Shokin was not elected... that position is appointed. He was succeeded by Yuriy Sevruk, who was his deputy, until a replacement could be found. The guy who was appointed to replace him, Yuriy Lutsenko, was charged with abuse of office and forgery back in 2010, and was sentenced to four years and forfeiture of property. In 2012, he received an additional two year sentence for his role in an attempted poisoning of a Ukrainian Presidential candidate. He was pardoned in 2013 and went into politics.

Viktor Shokin has never been arrested.

Are you calling Joe Biden a liar, too?

Yup. Because you ignored every other post I made. Just like everyone else.

The point isn't that Trump was investigating Biden, the point is Biden isn't guilty of anything. Trump just magically stops investigating Biden and asks China to do his dirty work when caught, yea isn't suspicious at all. And still as shady and dirty as the Bidens did to take advantage of a decaying nation, they just took an opportunity.

Also the timeline of when Trump was making phone calls to when Joe started running isn't correct. The investigation into Hunter Biden started before the July 25th phone call, he got his little rat Guliani to make contact before he did.
Trump was getting dirt on a potential political opponent, he knew Biden would run, and he knew the shady business practices of the political elite, because he is one.

Look. 487 sources.

Have at it, someone did all the work for me and you. So stop listening to conspiracy theories and think a little.

No legal basis for Joe to testify. Joe is not on trial, Trump is. Biden could have corruptly been give billions and there still would no basis for him to testify. This is all about Trump's actions. If Trump had instead used normal channels for the investigation this would never happened. He is on trial for violating the law, which he did, but probably didn't have to. Shows he was playing from a very weak hand.

So only defendants testify in a trial?

You guys really have lost the ability to make rational arguments.
