Full title is : NY Post Columnist: We Should Investigate Why The New York Times Is Wrong All the Time

I placed this thread in the mud pit for those who get most of their information from the The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN deep state Trump haters. How many times do you have to let someone lie or make up stories for you to finally say, "ENOUGH !" and turn their hate and lies off ?

If some of the stories are true many are doing just that and saying "Enough" to the likes of CNN which IMO is something nice to hear.

Backed by a press corps eager to get Trump, Pelosi felt confident to authorize the flimsy effort to remove the president from office. She assumed media bullhorns would push the public into her camp and that would win her Republican votes for a bipartisan takedown.

She certainly got the media support, but the public and the GOP aren’t following. Indeed, the harder that Reps. Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler push and the louder the anti-Trump media scream, the more the public resists impeachment over the Ukraine piffle.

That was true even before last week’s sensational revelations that the FBI was both corrupt and incompetent in the Russia collusion probe. The report and testimony by Michael Horowitz, the inspector general of the Justice Department, further undermined impeachment by revealing the rampant misconduct in the earlier case.

[…]

Thankfully, the accountability fallout from the Russia misconduct has started, with Attorney General Bill Barr suggesting possible prosecutions of FBI agents and perhaps others.

But what of the media? After all, The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and the broadcast networks were spectacularly wrong in their coverage.

[…]

Pulitzers and other journalism prizes lionized some reports that are now as discredited as the Steele dossier. Yet the news organizations still protect the secret sources who misled them and act as if they themselves did nothing wrong.

One glaring example. The Times reported last May that the FBI sent a female investigator “posing as research assistant” to spy on the Trump campaign in 2016. The woman, who called herself Azra Turk, met with George Papadopoulos in a London bar.

[…]

The Times’ story also says Turk and another informant, Stefan Halper, “failed to glean any information of value” from several meetings with Papadopoulos, but that is not true, according to the inspector general. He says one of the FBI’s most significant “inaccuracies and omissions” was the failure to tell FISA judges that Papadopoulos repeatedly denied to Halper and Turk that the campaign was collaborating with Russia or WikiLeaks.

Did the Times reporters know about that exculpatory information, or did their FBI sources lie to them? Either way, the paper now knows its May story was wrong on key points, yet it remains uncorrected.

[…]

Days after the 2016 election, the Times issued an apology of sorts to subscribers for failing to realize that Trump could win. “Did Donald Trump’s sheer unconventionality lead us and other news outlets to underestimate his support among American voters?” the publisher and editor wrote.

[…]

So now it’s time for a second apology — a sincere one. And an honest inquiry into how the paper continues to get the big stories so wrong.

For someone who spends the amount of time you do on a conspiracy site I'm rather bemused that you missed the memo concerning media, it's a business, first to break a story is number 1, facts, truth, reality are all subjective to the bottom line.

Every medium and propoganda pulpit has its bias and agenda.

Reminds me back in High School forming a BBS with a couple HS buddies. We were in a game called TradeWars2002 and I blew up his ship, ha ha ha. He kicked me off the BBS, even though I helped create it. Just to spite me because I blew up his spaceship. Ha ha.

I've seen lies written in every major journal there is, from first-hand experience and knowledge of events being reported you can see how wrong a piece can be. Some of it is just bad journalism, being too hasty, some of it is bias and outright propaganda.

It happens an all social media, even here on ATS.

What is there to investigate? It's a given that the people who have control, whether it be over the printed material, or the social media accounts have biases and abuse those powers. Everywhere.

Truth is the only foundation to build a Democratic foundation on.

There was a time when I would have agreed with you about the bottom line thinking however with the lies they are producing they are destroying the bottom line if the reports are correct. It turns out that maybe insulting half of America is bad for business.

Title : ANOTHER BS Report from #FakeNews NY Times and Soros Org Comes Crashing Down — NO, Trump Did Not Order Freeze on Aid 91 Minutes After Zelensky Call

On Sunday The New York Times published a HUGE update in the Trump-Ukraine foreign aid impeachment “scandal.”

The New York Times reported on new emails released by the Pentagon show that Trump White House officials discussed suspending military aid to Ukraine 91 minutes after President Trump spoke with President Zelensky.

The email was leaked to The New York Times by the Center for Public Integrity, a George Soros funded organization.

But, what didn’t get any play by the liberal mainstream media is that the order to withhold funding to Ukraine was actually made 7 days before the call — NOT 91 minutes after the call. But, what didn’t get any play by the liberal mainstream media is that the order to withhold funding to Ukraine was actually made 7 days before the call — NOT 91 minutes after the call.

Pretty hypocritical for the New York Post and Gateway Pundit to call out others for "fake news." I don't know the last time I've seen a truthful article from either of those sources.

Exactly

All the ad revenue and data collection these media outlets have gathered over the years is probably astoundingly high. Critisizing trump even if its half truths is the click bait. And the same goes for the extremely biased pro trump.

It's a strange time to be the viewer right now.

Astoundingly high is likely understated, this information is gold to the right party, to make money in today's world is to get a following and capitalize on ad revenue via social media.

Infamy trumps all it seems.

We would do well to remember that Fox news was sued some years back for "lying". The courts ruled in Foxes favor stating that Fox news is entertainment and not bound to tell the truth. This cleared the path for all media to make things up as they go along.

News outlets are for entertainment purposes only, and not to be believed without due diligence. If their lips are moving, they are probably lying.

After the Smith-Mundt was repealed, maybe correcting the record doesn't
get you in trouble anymore. Anytime since the beginning of 2013 you can't convince
me we've even got a viable Fourth Estate. Thanks Obama.

And the Center for Public Integrity? Seriously as in Soros? I'll judge the
tree (or cesspool for leaks) by its fruits, not the "believability". Not my belief
system nor anyone else's for that matter can adjust the truth... but if it's a
cause of individual heartburn I'd personally be looking for another source.

The reason the New York Times is so spectacularly wrong so often is maybe
because a much greater percentage of peep's BS filters are getting cleared
out by some Great Awakening. Where's that line from Trilogy... "Now that
it's done, I've begun to see the reason why I'm here." endless enigma

I really think the goalposts ought to be equipped with casters by now; it can't
cost DOD much more than three or four toilet seats, and the grounds crew won't
go home at night so tired. WaytaGO OP.... 5-pointer from 55 out. F&S!

NY Times isn't the only news source that is basically a propaganda arm, which the internet has exposed with people doing their own investigating to the point that the NY Times, CNN, MNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS have been proven wrong.
I would like to add US News and World Report that is in most hotels, I nearly choked when I read it over vacation, the "news", not editorials, but the "hard news" was so slanted and so biased I threw it down and refused to read it after looking at just the first couple of pages. I won't ever read it again.

All these news sources must think the majority of the "serf masses", especially in flyover middle America, in the US are idiots. At least their news which is clearly obviously biased toward globalism, PC correctness, and far left socialist heading toward communist writings and clearly think this slant is not noticed by the "ignorant masses".

At least that is how they all report the news, on an ignorant masses level of condescension, arrogance and a 8th grade intelligence level. I personally am insulted by how obvious the bias and arrogant condescension is toward the "unwashed masses" who do not populate the liberal intelligentsia who seek to run the lives of the masses down to what they eat.

AND before you get snarky and arrogant on me, I get my news from at a minimum 5 internet sources with differing stances, 2 international sources - which really are the most unbiased when it comes to the US because they don't really care that much about "sides". The TV news makes me want to puke with it's bias. But I have to admit I won't read the highly slanted Mother Jones type crap on the internet either.

None of the msm has any credibility left. NY Times, CNN, Wapo, msnbc are just the worst offenders. Fox doesn't get a pass either, they carried GWs water all through his 2 terms

After the New York Times helps to re-elect president Trump, the federal government will bring the fake news publication to its knees.
