So the economy is going well for some people. My stocks are soaring. On Monday the Dow hit another high. I have 7 figures in the market. But how many regular Americans even have a dime in the market?

20% of Americans own 85% of American stocks. Yea, a little disproportionate.

Not an American only. But yes. Those who have enough extra income buy into the stock market. No poor people. Poors can only spend on shelter and food.

Recall, that 50% of Americans are below average intelligence. It is a fact. They make up the poors. If you are poor, it might mean you are in the lower 50%.

A lot of people invest indirectly, pension funds for example frequently include a portion of share investment.

So you fight former Nazis with putting immigrant kids in cages just like... er... the actual Nazis? Cool.

Wait. What?

Here's something to consider:

If you have escalating debt greater than what you earn, are you actually making any money?

Debt slavery - always in existence - still going strong today!

I really do not like the your usage of the word slavery because how much of all this is self created? I agree there can be a lot of reasons why someone is poor or in too much debt, but I would say the vast majority who are of sound mind and body are there due to a stream of poor life decisions. If you create your own little hell how is that slavery?

We can even take this a few steps further. By your logic we can say people were a slave to their fields or farms as they worked them 16 hours a day, slave to their careers for the same reasons, a slave to their hobbies etc etc... It seems anything you are forced to do or force a pond yourself is slavery by your definition.

Proximo, Socialists (democrats) never care about the truth. They only care what they can get you to believe and will continue to speak lies until someone anyone believes them. One of the people who influenced Woodrow Wilson and the socialists was Edward Bernays. He is considered the "father" of public relations (propaganda). He is the one who rebranded propaganda to public relations. The techniques used by the socialists (democrat) are right out of his playbook.Of course they also Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals".
Goebbels used Bernays work against the Jews in WWII.

Donald Trump was never considered a racist until he ran for president. The two biggest race hustlers in the US today are A Sharpton and J Jackson. Yet theses two have been surprisingly quiet on the Trump front. Why would that be?
Maybe because both of the organizations they run have down over the years piled Donald Trump and his construction companies with awards for hiring minorities and minatory construction companies to work on his projects.

President Trump would help Black Americans even more if his administration were to replace ObamaCare with a 2-tier insurance system: Medicare Health Insurance for those who Need it -AND- Private Free Market Health Insurance for those who Qualify for it. (Actually, this would help all Americans)

If people would travel around the world more they would see that healthcare is in the form of clinics that takes care of about 80% of health problems quite effectively. They are small and cheap to run and would offer what most need on a day to day bases. Then you have non-emergency hospitals that is the next level of the more serious care and finally emergency care.

With this above all you would need is catastrophic insurance which is much cheaper and can be offset by the Government for low income families.

As example, I took my kid to a clinic years ago in Texas and it cost me $20 cash to see a nurse practitioner and get a prescription with no insurance needed. A trip to the ER to get butterfly band-aid stitches on a chin cut on one of my kids was 5 mins with the doctor, 30 mins of paperwork, 3 hour wait and 2k cost. I think a clinic could have done it for 20 bucks and in and out in 20 mins total.

We need to rethink healthcare. Clinics and prevention is the key here, but what do I know. BTW this is not about me as I have 3 very good healthcare programs VA, Blue Cross, Tri Care.

Its called slavery because it sounds more evocative than calling it subsistence.

In reality, it's very hard to escape from that kind of life. If you are from a poor area you often dress and speak a certain way, and you probably went to a school filled with gangs and trainee teachers, so you probably didn't get the best grades. And you may have poor aspiration.

100% agree with you.

The problem pops up when some don't even want to spend the $20 and go to an ER, instead, because they cannot be turned away.

Opioid abuse plays it's part in that, too. ER docs have, historically, been more likely to prescribe opioid painkillers than clinic docs who probably have dealt with you before and remember that you just asked for Oxycodone last week when you "dislocated your shoulder."

So, you're right. But we also need to revamp a lot of crap to make the system you describe work effectively and efficiently.

...poor aspiration.

Hahahahaha

How is "poor aspiration," a function of one environment or system over any other?

I'm pretty sure everyone aspires to something better. Now, if one thinks it's achievable in their own case is something different. But, "aspiration" isn't the issue. I kinda think you might be able to guess what the real issue(s) is but choose not to see it or say it.

Do you know what "gaslighting" is, because what you posted is very misleading.

Trump has been a suspected racist person for at least 40 years now.

To say Sharpton and Jackson have been quiet means you dont take the time to listen to what they have to say (as much as you may or may not like them).

And if you took the time to read about what the Ellis Island Award is about you might not have made this post unless you are a liar...or ignorant.

From Wikipedia: Trump initially came to public attention in 1973 when he was accused by the Justice Department of violations of the Fair Housing Act in the operation of 39 buildings. The Department of Justice said that black "testers" were sent to more than half a dozen buildings and were denied apartments, but a similar white tester would then be offered an apartment in the same building.[9] The government alleged that Trump's corporation quoted different rental terms and conditions to blacks and made false "no vacancy" statements to blacks for apartments they managed in Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island.[10]

Representing Trump, Roy Cohn filed a counter-suit against the government for $100 million, asserting that the charges were irresponsible and baseless.[9][11] A federal judge threw out the countersuit, calling it a waste of "time and paper".

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trump has always been racist. They even took him to court over it, and he lost. He appealed the decision and he lost again.

Debt slavery is still a type of slavery.

When people owned the land but never worked the fields themselves, yet they gathered the majority of the profits to themselves, they weren't slaves.

Similarly, those who come from a position of privelege, owning assets that they don't actually work, but they get the lion's share of the profits. They aren't slaves.

However, if someone works hard, don't actually own the assets, don't get anything more than subsistence (or less) and have no means to escape their poverty, and no capability to save, or to acquire their own investments. How are they not slaves to their circumstances?

You just asked how is getting paid to work different than slavery. I guess some people just don’t know.

I pointed out that a slave wage is pretty much slavery. I don't stand for that, but then again I earn 6 figures, so does the wife, and we will retire with 7.

How you doing, by the way, home slice?
Maybe the Democrats slavery of 90% taxes appeals more to you. Thanks but no thanks. The 1% will never share unless they get something out of it ... you know like a tax shelter or something. They want to stay in power and so does Nancy Pelosi the armchair commie. Some people just never get it.

The 1% have abused capitalism as well as communism/socialism. They have enslaved us any which way while they profit from all those systems.
More socialism is not the answer ... in fact it is a death spiral. The Democrats are totalitarians. They want your money and your obedient subvservience.
