If you like Ryan Renolds, mindless violence, off-beat humor, then you must see this movie.

Quick synopsis; A team is put together my a mysterious billionaire. All members have faked their deaths. They are basically a vigilante group getting rid of bad guys.

They have;

The Billionaire
The Doctor
The Hit Man
The CIA Spy
The Thief
The Sniper

If you're looking for serious plots with gut-wrenching dialogue, go watch a drama or something.

This is 2 hours of pure fun.

I appreciate the review!

I like Ryan’s movies, but this one let me down. Car chases drive me crazy, and the first 20-30 minutes is a car chase with goofy character introductions. #6!........The Dentist..or whatever lol.
Sorry man, not for me.

Is it right in line with being a Michael Bay movie, with over the top effects, and outright unbelievable stuff? Yup.

Is it borderline shallow, and relying on said over the top action? Yup.

Is it kind of corny? Yup.

Is it worth watching? Absolutely (if you're OK with the above).

I don't think this is gonna be on anyone's serious top ten movies of all time... But I thoroughly enjoyed it the same way I enjoy cheesy action flicks if I know what I'm getting into.

The only movie I absolutely hated with him was Buried (I think that's what it was called, but it's not worth me searching to get it right).

I think Deadpool was the best.

I don't think you understand.

I said, "Shut up and watch this".

It wasn't a suggestion or a request.

You must not like the John Wick movies either.

I'm sorry.

What a crazy fun ride. Love Ryan Reynolds. I had taken sumthin to sleep and it really magnified the craziness. Pure fast entertainment. Not for Christmas movie, romanic sentimental movie lovers. Much enjoyment nonetheless. Big thumbs up!

Ummm...the weirdest take I got from this movie plot...was the strangest thought that...that is precisely what I would do if I was a multi billionaire...

Oh...and invest heavily in SpaceX...

“Gotta catch em all”...the evil effs...and those quintillion dollar asteroids...natch...

Was pretty overwhelmed by how explicit the carnage in the opening car chase sequence was, the pedestrians and other drivers/passengers relentlessly being smashed into road pizza, over and over, in a brutal Grand Theft Auto/gorepornish bloodbath got too much for me to stomach.

Was almost misanthropic in the extent it trivialised the deaths of so many innocent bystanders, as nothing more than sadistic entertainment.

This scene was something new(to me)and seemingly the next level in a progression towards ever more explicit and brutal violence that "mainstream" movies have been taking in the last few years.
It's sad how normal it's become and how desensitized we are getting to it all.

I enjoyed Deadpool(Ryan Reynolds is a hoot!)1 & 2 but seriously I would've enjoyed it alot more if it wasn't so needlessly graphic, I'm just not into brutality just for the sake of it.
Game of Thrones certainly had it's gruesome moments but generally they were in service to the plot/story and served its overall style and commitment to world building.

I really hope this brutality as mainstream entertainment doesn't become the next "new normal".
YMMV.

Yeah they could have gone more easy on the nuns and bystanders. Towards the * of the movie there is a similar scene with the bad guy. Also the * pilots shooting on a * even though so many people are around.

I think it was over the top by intend. Die hard style.

That's why I liked this movie. The billionaire protagonist role (hero-ish) was a cool different take in the likes of Batman, but this scenario seemed to fit better in reality.

Back to SpaceX though, that's a billionaire I could see becoming a villain. Musk is a strange character, and he seems to catch a whole bunch of flak. I was thinking the other day when I heard the Cybertruck is supposedly bullet proof to 9mm (windows didn't do well in the test thought) what if all of those could be controlled by command at Tesla. I remember hearing a story that Tesla sent out a hotpatch to allow more range for the cars that needed to evacuate for a Hurricane, which made a lot of people mad they perceived they were paying more for a software change than actual batteries.
