After learning this today, I have a serious issue with this song

Now, I'm not one to limit free speech in any manner, however there are restrictions in place to that for good reasons (usually). I've heard this annoying song for a while, and apparently it is a hit with the kids.

Here's the chorus

So you're a tough guy
Like it really rough guy
Just can't get enough guy
Chest always so puffed guy
I'm that bad type

Make your girlfriend mad tight
Might seduce your dad type
I'm the bad guy Duh

Now I get sexual innuendo in music, however the part I emphasized is what gets me. The girl that wrote and sings this song JUST TURNED 18 TWO DAYS AGO! That means when she wrote the song, she was a minor...underage for sexual consent. Yet a song written by a minor including a line about seducing an adult is not only accepted, but becomes a major hit?

How in the hell did society come to not only accept, but APPROVE of songs of minors seducing adults?

The vast majority of todays pop stars don't write their own material, it's written for them by older writers hired by the corporate entertaiment bussinesses promoting them. I guess that only makes it creepier and more disturbing.

Society today promotes the bad as the new normal and cool. It's been that way for a long time though but still doesn't make it right.

18 is not the universal age of majority.

In many countries it is lower.

And the seduction of an adult by a “minor” (person under the age of majority) has been around as a “taboo” theme since before the publication of ”Lolita”, written by Vladimir Nabokov in 1955.

Age of consent is lower than 18 in alot of states. As low as 14 I believe.

To be outraged that much by such an obviously playful lyric that you have to create a thread about it on abovetopsecret.com is disturbing within itself.

It's art. It's just WORDS. When muppets like yourself tried to outright ban suggestive lyrics in music back in the 1980s Frank Zappa had to personally testify before Congress to prevent this rabid religion driven insanity from becoming law.

I had to watch it without sound. From what I could see I am more concerned that anyone would find the video worth ever playing a second time or spending even one penny for.
