Homosexuality has been around since the beginning of mankind. The fact that some people are still not used to it is remarkable. It is also common in the animal world and even they have no problem with it.

Rogue 1 has so far been the best out of all the new ones honestly. I hope they don't try to revive that somehow...

Exactly, that is a damn fine movie. Although to be honest it could have completely sucked 99% of the way and the final bit with Vader would have made up for it. You see in the original trilogy that Vader has some awesomeness going on, but even then it's not terribly intimidating. The prequels with Anakin further killed Vader as a bad mofo. Rogue One though...red light saber in the dark and then the casual stroll down the hallway just annihilating everyone. It's a "ah, now I see what the fuss was about" moment.

Edit: To comment on the topic at hand...who cares that two same sex people kissed. Not a big deal. I still have no plans to go to the theater and see this, maybe a redbox rental or something, The Last Jedi kinda ruined it for me. How you gonna have Luke go out like that?!?

Yeah a lot of progressives were upset that Poe and Finn didn't smack lips, they complained about that spotlight going to two white girls.

The kiss was thrown in there to mark off some check box to satisfy a small group.

It added nothing to the story.

Bingo.

Yeah I've heard that one before... Bonobos monkeys do it, no other animals do.

Yeah it's been around since the beginning of mankind, or close to it, and it's been grossing other people out in the same time frame.

The way I understand it, Lucas already had to clean this script up quite a bit because it subliminally took jabs at President Trump. Having said that, I haven't researched it, but I heard about it and recall seeing something about it.

Star wars was great when I was 10 not so much anymore
Don’t really care about the kiss, not overly happy about an entertainment company is preaching their message at me.
Just seems like corporate moralising, not just are they greedy, ruin a story, they are trying to decide my moral standard, Hollywood are deciding my moral standard.

But I generally don't like sex scenes and hot kisses in movies, no idea why, not always of course, if it fits it's ok. I like love films, no matter if two women or two men or three donkeys love each other, if the actors are good and the script fits, i take it all. That makes me think of one of the most beautiful love films: Call Me By Your Name. It's about first love - two men. The music is beautiful. The actors are incredibly good, the boy was nominated for an Oscar for that. It's a big movie.

Same-sex behavior (comprising courtship, sexual, pair-bonding, and parental activities) has been documented in over 450 species of animals worldwide. Even with giraffes.

That's true. In ancient times homosexuality was part of everyday life, in the Middle Ages gays were burned. History shows that it was rarely safe to love the same sex. In Nazi Germany you were sent to a concentration camp for this reason.

That's not true and actually the opposite.

Most people don't give a rats arse about homesexuality. What they get annoyed about is taking their kids to watch a kids movie and irrelevant characters and irrelevant focus is placed on sexuality ,gender, or color for no other reason than sjw bs.

They have overdone it and people are tired of being woke with everything they watch.

I guess I am old.
I watched Star Trek TOS. I didn’t watch any of the series that came later.
I saw the first three Star Wars movies and nothing after that.

It's called zeitgeist. The film industry mirrors society, otherwise such films would not be successful. And in civilized open societies, the subject is only marginal. Of course you register as a hetero when two men or two women kiss, that's natural, but why should i be disgusted? And what exactly is so bad when children see something like that? They don't give a #. Fortunately. And if they do ask questions, you just say: These are two men and they love each other. How cruel and confusing!

It's not a conspiracy, just the answer to a changed world. The internet has changed everything. The good old days that were never really that good are over, forever and ever.

Nobody said anything about being disgusted and many of these woke films aren't successes.

I go to the movies to be entertained not woke by hypocrites

the problem isn't that people actually care what other do with their own lives, for the most part. it's that people have gotten tired of others forcing issues into their faces while demanding acceptance then proceeding to insulting people that won't do as they demand, and/or making threat's or ruining peoples lives if neither of those things work.

people are feeling besieged and threatened, lashing out is inevitable if people don't start backing off. personally when i see all this i start thinking "f your issues, i really don't give a damn anymore so i rather side with chaos and see where it will go".

trying to force these issues will only end one way, with blood making the decision for both sides and such a conflict never favors the minority. people need to accept that not everyone will accept them for who or what they are and back off before they back the other side into a corner.

at the end of the day humans hate being told what to do or think, keep demanding acceptance and you will get hatred and rejection just to spite others for telling them what to do. a reversal will hit back hard if it keeps at this pace.
