Each state is not equal though.

Less populated states have far more voting power than more populated states, which is an abomination of the intention of the electoral college. The EC has been bastardized to the point of irrelevancy at this point and was never how it was originally set up to exist.

It was setup as a system to reflect the will of the people but instead, reflects the will of the majority over the minority.

So you're making the assertion that all States had equal representation when the Constitution was put into effect? You and I both know that isn't true. The same exact method used in 1789 was used in 2016.
Some states had more members in the House which meant more electoral votes
All states had 2 senators.
All states had their own way of choosing electors
Some states even had their legislature choose the electors
The thing that you, and thise with your mindset don't , or won't understand is that the Constitution grants you no right to vote for President
None
Zero
Nada
If your legislature decided to make changes to your State's Constitution tomorrow to eternally bar popular electiion of their electors for President, your only recourse would be to vote them out and have a new legislature amend that process
So to me arguments about voting for President are moot
And the SCOTUS would agree with me

Got to ask for a link... cause everything I have ever read says from day 1 the point of the EC was to make certain the more rural areas of the country have a say and its not dominated by a handful of population centers.

Even with the EC if Clinton didnt run the worst campaign since quite possibly ever she wins in a walk. (ignoring traditionally blue states expecting them to vote blue no matter what)

He can't give you a link because he's making it up
The fact is that many at the Constitutional Convention agreed with the suggestion of each State should have 1 vote. The thinking was that they were all equal and sovereign. The Electoral College actually gave weight to States with more population.
Remember, as the Constitution is written it is the States that elect the President, not the people.
