So now we discover Pelosi is withholding the articles of impeachment until Schumer (sorry, it appears NBC is now so desperate they deny ad block software and I won't link to them if they do that) gives her the okay.

This whole process just keeps getting better and better.

It's almost too good.

Just remember boys and girls to wait until you see the whites of their eyes. I think there may be some fireworks before we get to that point. It's coming.

It sure is!

Wonder how it would feel to spend the rest of your life living in fear?

At this point they are beyond criminal.

I say let them run with it. So far, all they've done is make themselves look like the reeeing fools they are and all but guaranteed Trump's re election, while sabotaging their own party's chances of winning.
No one will take them seriously after this debacle....and they deserve it.

As far as I'm concerned they can run with it all day every day until the election. I've long believed that the further they take this this more damage they do to themselves.

It's truly an interesting time to be alive.

Given the modern era and modern technology, they should be able to transmit the Articles of Impeachment to the Senate easily within 24 hours. In securing Trump’s right to a fair and speedy trial the charges should be dismissed if not there by open of business tomorrow.

And charge Pelosi a one dollar fee for failing to rewind the tape.

Hmmm...

At first, the Republicans were moaning and complaining that the Democrats were “rushing” the impeachment hearings through the House, and how “unfair” that was to the President.

Now, the Republicans are moaning and complaining that the articles of impeachment Are Not being rushed to the Senate while the trial procedural process is still being resolved.

Displaying all the maturity of spoiled toddler that we’ve come to expect in this “Age of Orange Rage”.

SCOTUS has a Constitutional dutt to resolve this issue. Id expect resolution to happen fairly swiftly as due process is still Constitutionally required.

This has to be the dumbest thing ive read outside of reddit.

Due process is law. Full stop. Failing to observe it is harming the Republic. Just like the failure to even allow exculpatory evidence to be considered.

No, no, no... go look up where I was complaining. Didn't happen. From the start I was delighted about this and said it didn't matter. It was a fake peach mint. Don't go trying to rewrite history. I disagreed with the impeachment and the tactics, but I've been delighted with it from the start. I've called it fake from the start and was not in the least bit concerned nor did I defend Trump. There was nothing to defend.

LOL... I'm a spoiled toddler. Have you read any of the posts your Democrat pals have made?

I think you're missing the contrast between charges being rushed, and trial being delayed.

Both benefit the prosecutor, and not the accused, which is not how our justice system intends.

Either way, most people who follow current events realize this circus for what it is. The probability of him being removed is extremely minute.

This reminds me of the meme of someone riding a bike, putting a stick in their own spikes, and finding someone to blame while they lay on the ground. Well see the latter part in 2020.

I'm not a fan of the left or the right, but if the right really wanted to capitalize, I think it would behoove them to handle this as gracefully, and flippantly as possible. Let the left have their meaningless circus.

I may be in a minority here, but I say NO. Do not let them have this. We've had the right crumbling for decades on things like the budget. Oh... pass this budget, we'll cut spending later. Oh, do this amnesty then we'll get tough on the border. FFFF that. It's time for congress to have some feet held to the fire. They need to stop channeling money to their family and start doing some MFing work.

Screw being neutral. The left has been playing the right like a fiddle for years. We need to be holding both sides to their word.

President Trump (seems) to have a way of pulling nice big lovely rabbits out of his hat at the last moment - as he's done repeatedly. I sure hope/pray it's the same this time.

My question is - what can legally done about the traitors Shifty and Pelocy.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

I was talking about how the right (more specifically those holding a seat) should discuss and carry through with this. The impeachment happened, and it's going to get killed in senate. Dems just handed over 2020, because everyone is paying attention to this, and not their candidates unrealistic platforms. Take the win with grace, people on the fence will look kindly to it.

2020 might even bring another Republican house majority... Not that they did much with that opportunity in 2016.

Win back the house and expel them.

Your vote has never matter more than it will in 2020.

I don't think this in any way negates what I said. The right has been crumbling under broken promises from the left for years. There is no grace in that. There is no grace in two decades of folding. You may very well be fairly centrist, but if so you can't deny that the right has been making nice on promises of future policy that absolutely hasn't happened.

I understand why you'd see it as the right buckling to the left on certain things, but honestly I'm just under the impression candidates campaign on one thing and do another... That applies to both sides, as they receive campaign funding from the same people.

Real quick, I'd say I'm independent more than centrist. My views are often on the right, or left, sometimes far past centrism. Classic Liberal or Libertarian if I had a gun to my head.

Back to being graceful. Go take a look at the casino odds for Trump getting re-elected, he just got quite a bit of favoritism thrown his way. Look at the polls (these have stayed the same while people expected the polls to be worse for him, but I don't really trust polls too much).

So the left just got caught committing a foul while the right was up, and it's the final stretch to win the game. Run out the clock and let them keep getting penalties. If the right gets all emotional, they're just going to jeopardize the lead.

That's just my opinion.

Ummm...expel them...?

One could only hope...

These traitors will no doubt chicken out and resign or simply not seek reelection...

But expulsion would be more fun to watch...

We also have idiots like Swalwell saying President Trump needs to prove he is innocent.

The Senate has no plans to take up their impeachment "hearings" until January.

Hearings in quotes, since they don't plan on calling any witnesses, even the ones who refused to testify in the House hearings.
