I'm curious, how does it feel to know the majority of both Democrats and Republicans is white people. Probably because they are 70+ % of the USA population. The middle age/class/male thing you decided on your own.

I know quite a few conservative minorities but I guess I agree more are democrats. Maybe?

Maybe democrats just vote for minorities just because theyre minorities and not actually a good pick for the job.

Of course I'm not stating minorities are not fit for office Ive just seen a lot of liberals get off on just voting for diversity

We are not going anywhere in this country until people stop referring to themselves as a crayon color instead of just a person like everyone else.

This reminded me the other day my 6 1/2 year old grandson was watching 2 guys on tv. Grandpa told him to turn it down, they were just too loud. My grandson said that the black guy in the blue shirt was the loud one not the other one.

My hubby and I looked at the screen and laughed. We realized his reference was due to hair color. Both guys were Caucasian, one had dark hair and the other was light blonde.

I assume the only way to get past the racism will be the day we realize that color labels are simply not offensive or racist just a defining detail as the multitude of hair colors out there.

The biggest thing I see with these politicians is pretty much all the same regardless of party and it is really sad because that is not what the founding fathers wanted when the entire system was being set-up. It was their belief that anyone could and should hold an office and it was seen as a duty and was not seen as a career move where you get rich off the work of the people.

Now without having a substantial amount of money to begin with you are way behind the 8 ball. The political machine has all but eliminated the chance that any "regular Joe or Jane" can even get a sniff of public office and it is becoming more and more common even in the smaller cities and town.

Unfortunately without any major reform and term limits it is going to stay the same. One huge issue that I feel needs to be addressed is the political ads. It is my belief that all advertisement regardless of the media needs to be eliminated. It is a giant waste of money and really is just a way to buy your voice. Anymore the actual facts are deformed anyway as both sides use portions of soundbites from the competitor that do not include the full context or warped facts. There needs to be more televised debates and required local debates with impartial moderators. The work being done on the campaign trail really needs to evolve into something more than just going to a rigged town hall or glad handing at a local dairy queen to give the illusion you are a regular person.

Bottom line until the people start to wake up and really do some homework on the candidates or it will remain status quo

Because 'non-white' men and women are bullied and shamed by the media and peers, until they adopt the hive mind attitude

Race is meaningless

Who cares what race people belong to?

Oh that’s right, racists do.

It's less than meaningless, it's entirely fabricated. Scientifically speaking there is no such thing!

There is, however, the social phenomenon of race. This is what oppresses minorities. Surely you don't deny that minorities have it harder than whites, and that historically this has always been true? If you truly deny this you are blind.

Yes, the majority of the United States is white. However, your second point is false.

Only 8% of black voters supported Trump in the last election. What is your reaction to that? Goodness, you guys, I'm not just making this up! I've literally seen maybe one conservative actually respond to the question.

Perhaps you are just seeing what you want to see?

As a Native American woman who is leaning conservative lately, I look to the Democratic party primary runners and I see...

Biden... old white rich guy.

Warren... old white rich woman.

Sanders... old white rich guy.

Bloomberg... old white amazingly rich guy.

In fact, the Democratic possible voters have so far managed to get rid of anyone of color.

Maybe it's just a politics thing?

with a few token black ladies, black men, hispanic.... asian... but mostly dumb, rich white socialists.

One supported social programs and more welfare handouts while the other supported job growth.

Make sense now? Welfare vs jobs

Seems reasonable...

Dont tell that to white folks in South Africa lmao!

Hell for that matter the Irish early immigrants in America might have something to say about that...pretty sure my ancestors were treated worse than black slaves back then.

No, actually, because you haven't said anything about the question I'm asking, which is concerning the reason for the demographics I linked.

Unless you're making a statement about certain minorities valuing welfare and whites valuing jobs? If you are seeking to make such a statement, please make it explicit so there is no confusion.

Apart from the probably ridiculous comparison between the irish and african americans, this was actually exactly the point I was making.

If you'd bothered to read the rest of my post, you would've seen this:

There is, however, the social phenomenon of race. This is what oppresses minorities.

Race doesn't exist in nature, but it does exist in our minds. It is a social construct. That doesn't mean that it doesn't have real effects in the outer world. Today, minorities still feel those effects.

Please, try to comprehend my posts before you reply.

Why would comparing to countries people who've been enslaved before be ridiculous? I mean throughout history most peoples have been on the losing side of it at some point. I read your post just fine... I think the more focused on race one is the more effect it will have on them. I there are literally millions of minorities who do very well in life and rarely if ever have to consider race or issues from it in their life.

I would say you are blind. So would my 1st generation brown immigrant wife. When a black person becomes a Democrat they face being ostracized and hated by other black people. That makes it difficult for them to cross those lines. Democrats and black people are the ones drawing those lines, not Republicans.

Haha, oh yes of course. African Americans are peer pressuring each other into voting for the Democrats, and there's no reason for this! They just randomly decided that they would vote almost unanimously for a single party, and ostracize anyone who disagreed! It's not about the policies or the attitudes of those who represent the Republican party, it just happened by chance! Why didn't I think of that?

You're not being honest with yourself if you actually believe this. And even if it were somehow true, it is perfectly possible to vote discreetly.

Your conspiracy theory about Democrats "refusing to fix immigration" is absurd, and really doesn't need to be addressed.

Would you care to comment on the actual issue at hand?

I actually think you're right about this. I think it's at least possible in some places in our society that a person of any color can thrive and very rarely have to deal with racism, and I think if one doesn't define themselves as a victim, they will be much happier and they won't see racism everywhere.

But this doesn't mean that our work is done, as it is not like this in some places in the country.
