There is absolutely zero chance of removal.
I have said as much.
What crimes are involved?
Abuse of power, obstruction of Congress. Who knows what else, since he obstructs Congress from their Constitutional right.
The president never claimed to be above accountability, or above the law.
Seriously show me when the president claimed to be "above accountability". ...those are your words.
Those are my words, but...umm, The Constitution says "I can do whatever I want."
What was his abuse of power? How did he obstruct Congress?
Read previous replies.
ETA: How the hell is this whole process not an abuse of power by the Democrats!?
Um, the Constitution.
Um... Fail.
Congress people couldn't do it. You can't do it. Where is the crime? Where is the crime? Where is the crime? Where is the crime? Where is the crime?
Idiots. It's a sham. America sees it. Idiots. All of you.
Does the Constitution not say the president can be impeached? By the House? Sole power?
Congress people couldn't do it.
They did it. Today.
To what end?
Historical record.
The Constitution.
Ok. Historical record. Nothing will happen. Dems will lose more support. And Trump will be next to clintons bj. Thanks for wasting my damn money.
I said he (likely) won't be removed. But the historical record is more valuable than money. So is the Constitution.
That's what most do not get.
Tell African Americans, or homosexuals that the "historical record" is most important. I support the Constitution. I don't support removing a president because "muh feelings". What was that crime again? Still not hearing an answer about that pivotal question ..

I already answered. In this reply
But I am sure that Homosexuals will praise trump for his persistence that they be discriminated against in both the workplace and potential adoptions. Talk about standing up for Americans. But only if they're hetero? #Winning.

If my style was to light mini fires everywhere it would still make me an arsonist. Witness intimidation, unanswered/obstructed subpoenas, censuring of testimony were all forms of obstruction. The only thing Trump was protecting against was self incrimination which is something he has also already done openly.
Is It Political Suicide ?

What I can't seem to wrap my head around is this, why would so many Democrats be so willing to follow one another off the cliff to political suicide? These are career politicians we are talking about here , who when you sweep aside all the bull all they care about is re-election.
I'm looking at this as objectively as I can, When you truely weigh the impeachable evidence it does not tip torwards the President being impeached , they are basically trying to Impeach the President based on speculation . Here we have junior dems and senior dems all sitting on there hands for three almost four years now whining about the President , all the while not passing laws, not improving there districts not doing there jobs. What in Gods name are they going to run on when it comes time for re-election ?
And when this impeachment fails and it will , all that will have been accomplished is the fueling of support behind Donald Trumps 2020 campaign. Can the Democrats not see even a little ways down the road? The least they could do is support the Presidents economic reforms and then they could stand on that come time for re-election .

Very simple, actually.
They feel that they will ultimately be on the right side of history, in the long run, by standing up for democracy and the Constitution, rather than their Republican counterparts who seem to care more about maintaining power and putting their party over country in support of Trump at all costs, which is a reason so many are so spineless to oppose the Trumpublican Party.
That is why they are risking "political "suicide" as you call it, because they claim to care more about country and its founding principles than their own re-election—yet they ultimately hope they will get through to the people in order to be reelected, *because* they put country over party.
Simple.
