but attempting to remove him or actually voting to removing him would be the end of their senate jobs his base would make sure any single vote to remove him ends that persons future in the senate , the dems like to trot out trumps approval rating being "low" but among republican voters hes at 90-95% approval meanwhile the approval rating of congress makes trumps approval rating with the dems look stellar by comparison as they haven't had more then 30% approval rating for over a decade

It appears the Supreme Court may be asked to rule on the legality of the House Impeachment articles before they reach the U.S. Senate.

www.nationalreview.com...

As the article points out, the articles may be ruled null-and-void, thereby not reaching the Senate at all.

According to our new Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, former Presidents and Officials can be IMPEACHED, CONVICTED, and PUNISHED.

Source: www.cnet.com...

He plans on proving it by initiating a Senate Impeachment Trial on February 9th...with former President Donald J. Trump as the defendent.

IMAGINE the precedent this would set for impeaching Clinton (again), Bush, Obama, and others, for past acts that have (or will) come to light.
