Anyone still remember that song? I like to start the day with that gem from the immortal past.

One of my favourite songs that I still occasionally send to my son. It embodies exactly what I wish for him.
I like Lynyrd Skynyrd’s original version the best, but I must admit Shinedown’s cover is pretty good.

That was great lol. Great music transcends all.

And thanks Tannim---Simple Man is always worth cranking up and letting the soul soak it in. Here's another favorite of mine because I've been fortunate to know a "Curtis Loew" or two way back when.

And even not so way back when. Anyone ever been to Gip's Place and partied with Mr. Gip? "No Black, No White, Just Blues ~ Henry "Gip" Gipson"

I am true southern and that is the way I live.
A guide all folks should follow.

My hair's turning white,
My neck's always been red,
My collar's still blue,

red , white , and blue - Skynyrd

Miss Lynyrd Skynyrd so much. Atlanta native so southern rock is always my go-to music. Saw them in concert a couple times; once in college. Reminds me of the good ole younger days.

Great song, loved it for many years. Shinedown does a good cover of it as well.

I love both songs, and they are both my go to southern rock songs I go to. To bad I never got to see them live with the original members.

Hell yeah! All the time and so do my neighbors. 😎

Wish I had listened better to the wisdom of the words back when I was a kid.

The world is too complicated to be simple these days. To be simple is to be cut off. But I'll take three steps when allowed.

First time I heard it was just after my Mam died about 8 years ago, I would sob to myself listening to it, I was only 26 at the time and we were very close. Still makes my eyes well up!

Beautiful song!
