I still want him to go all Cocaine Mitch and drag it out for payback. Humiliate 'em but good; peel back the corruption.

Wouldn't that be a glory to behold??? I wouldn't even want to be a fly on the wall... I'd want to be front and center! With popcorn!!! And no doubt a HUGE smirk on my mug just because I could.

Of course, too many Reps might get caught up in that.I sense that Ukraine was a general source of corrupt money for politicians.

Yup. I expect the same.

If anything, it galvenized his base.

When has his base not been galvanized? Who cares if the same fanatics aren’t swayed by any of this?

Trying to persuade Donald Trump cultists to vote differently is a lost cause. It’s wasted energy. There is no changing what they believe. Their hate for other Americans who think differently than they do eclipses anything else.

49% of American voters are fanatical cultists now? Do you really beleive that?

And you wonder why that type of rhetoric isn't taken seriously.

Perhaps you should reevaluate your situation.

You have to respect that they're in a tough place.

They've been courting an increasingly radical and irrational base for cycles now, and they can't get elected without it, but they're at the point where that base is so far gone they really have tough times getting elected with it. They haven't figured out how to bridge the gap, I hope they never do until they figure out how to trim that radical element and put it back in its dark corner.

If pollsters can be believed.....hahahaha...... (gasps for air).......hahahaha, almost half the populous believe Trump should be impeached. Those ppl, obviously are so desperate in their hatred, that rationality escapes them, to the point that they would shred the constitution, if it serves their purposes.

I like the polls where you have to change the results by laying down cash. Casinos aren't always right, but their numbers are typically closer than polls.

Excellent point.

If the whole proceeding went like the Horowitz grilling, it would be super-interesting.

Censure gives them the political talking points going into election year, they can "scold" the Prez and magically provide themselves with 15-second-talking-bites for their re-election campaign, and they don't have to be humiliated any further by whatever the Senate might do.

After all their rhetoric about how Trump is a danger to the Constitution and the Republic, all they are going to do is say in censure "Bad Trump, Bad Trump"?

I seriously doubt that. Going back to Democrat strongholds and telling their constituents how successful they were in censure, aka doing nothing to remove big bad Trump, will make them look even more ineffective. If that is even possible.

The Dems put themselves in this no win situation.

Enjoy the Trainwreck.

Meanwhile Trump continues to go after Blue-collars, Black and Latino votes.

Everyone of those votes is a dbl vote as it takes away a Democrat vote.

You don't see Democrats doing the same to the Republican Base.

One could contend that the new home of the Blue Collar Voter is in Trump's GOP.

Oh dear... of course not! 2020 is an election year. It's all about getting votes.

They're going to pat themselves on the back for having the oh-so-noble and principled courage to IMPEACH the bad Orange Man destroying our nation, and they did EVERYTHING THEY COULD DONCHAKNOW (!!!) but those dastardly Republicans with no honor and no principles refused -- REFUSED I tell ya! -- to properly try him for his crimes. But make no mistake -- he was IMPEACHED! They IMPEACHED him for sure! No matter what, Bad Orange Man was IMPEACHED!!!

But -- alas! -- their efforts were all in vain. They didn't stand a chance against the unscrupulous Republicans in the Senate. Doomed from the start. By golly gee Mitch McConnell has already declared that Trump will never be convicted. What more proof can there be???

But never fear! Those selfless Dems are still trying... they just need to get a majority in the Senate... yeah, that's it... vote out all those terrible Republicans who refused to try Trump and THEN they'll be able to take back our country...

Sounds about right.

Issues? We don't need to run on no stinkin' issues. No one would vote for our policy positions on most things anyway.

You don't see dems trying to snag rep voters because they have nothing to offer hard working middle class Americans. Free stuff doesn't cut it with people who realize there is no such thing.

They can't beat him on policies, so thy try to beat him on his personality.

I have friends who grudgingly admit they like his policies, but hate the person, to the point they would never vote for him.

To me that seems a lot like cutting off one's nose to spite thier face.

I agree. There's a lot of truth there. And I think their whole "intersectionality" competitions for the Victim Olympics really sped this up. The extreme left appeals to the most narcissistic among us... those who have absolutely no thought or consideration for others, but demand this, that and the other for MeMeMe. Which has been compounded by perpetual victimhood. Now White gay men are "privileged" over Black gay men who are "privileged" over Black men who identify as women... and so on. That was never going to work out well. The natural consequences of their identity politics and victim mentality are rearing their lovely heads.

This is what happens when all feel entitled, but some are more entitled than others. Wait... where have I heard something like that before? Hmmmmm....

The nation finds another story to pick sides on.

Don't know if there is any ''picking'' about it any more, the lines are too rigidly drawn. If impeachment vote makes it we will watch the sham circus in the Senate. If it dosen't make it out of the house the media will choose what we talk about until election.

If it fails in the House, then we will pitter patter on orange and umbrellas and toilet paper while Trump goes about his business of dismantling the last decades of liberal advances. Jr. will go out and kill another endangered species and pose with the body.

To me, the only question of import is how will Gabbard vote on the impeachment. She was a hold out for impeachment but finally announced her support. With all the spun weakness of the indictment, she may decide to not vote for it. If that happens it would further distance her from the more impulsive in that party. If that party does finally wake up before nomination time and realizes at least some of it's ''out of touchness'' with the American heartland', it could stand her in good stead for her final push for the nomination.

That sounds like the Democrats claiming a promise kept when they didn't actually do the deed.

"Give us 4 more years and we will really show you!".

Meanwhile Trump made good on almost all his promises in 3 years.

For all of Trumps Bluster and bragging, when he talks to the American public he hits a chord.

Sorta of like when he was just speaking to the Sec.General of NATO at a Press Conference. He was talking about what happens when a nation doesn't meet its 2% commitments to defence in a year. Do they still owe that shortfall going forward or does it just magically vanish? He told the Sec Gen : "You know, you should look into that!" The Sec. Gen. Looked like a deer in the headlights. No other NATO Leader had to the Balls to ever ask that to other NATO Members. Or when he called out Germany at the start of a NATO Meeting for it's gas deal with Russia, the supposed bogeyman of NATO.

That kind of talk resonates with the American Voter.

Impeachment was never in the cards, it has to pass the Senate and we all know that is never going to happen.

It sure has made people's heads explode in the process though. Divided States of America, we're being weakened every day with the inundation of propaganda from all fronts.

What reality do you live in?

People's hate for anything Trump related(you included) knows no bounds. Did you see the 10 year old boy get beat up by 4-5 15-17 year olds for wearing a Trump 2020 hat? This **** is unheard of!

When you can produce me a weekly video of a Trump supporter doing the same to a Democrat I might take the words you type with more than a grain of salt...

The cognitive dissonance it must take to still believe Trump and his supporters are the bad people astonishes me. If you think Democrats are so accepting of different opinions go walk around in a MAGA hat to prove me wrong.

No worries I'll start a go fund me for your hospital bills.

Hilarious you made this smug, self-righteous comment immediately after calling the President's supporters fanatics and cultists; not to mention the utter disdain you seem to have for some people, who think differently from you, that drips off of some of your other posts. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say self awareness probably isn't your strong suit.

Ironically, this is what I said about obama supporters during that time.
