I have a feeling his skin would boil the moment his hand hovered over the conservatives box on the ballot

its not a minority in Scotland SNP won 80% of the vote

no other party has a mandate in Scotland

No they didn't mate. They won 80% of the seats with about 45% of the overall vote. Those two things are not the same.

If support for independence reaches 55% (so a clear majority), i would certainly favour another referendum but the SNP are currently 10% off that - so they currently have no mandate for another independence referendum.

Exactly.

After the referendum in 2014 Nicola Sturgeon herself said that there would have to be a significant rise in support for independence from a succession of reliable polls to justify another referendum.
45% in a general election is not a significant rise in numbers.....especially considering the quality of candidates standing for the major political party's.

I understand the frustration, sense of alienation and even the disgust that Scots feel and we need to engage with them and discuss how we can mover forward.....together.

Personally I think reform in Westminster would be a great starting point but I suspect that may be a bit too radical for the many who still feel that there is no option but the current system.
