All I see is both sides accusing the other side of the exact same thing they do.

There are only a few issues that differentiate the left and right.
You're kidding right? "All you see?" Dude, I know you're not left, but you hold so much water for the left.

That little stunt you pulled last week on the timeline of Trumps supposed crimes was not only laughable but fell with a resounding thud, simply because you had no actual tineline and one made up of supposition an hearsay from liberal media, the very same BS that has ultimately lead to this partisan impeachment sham.

What I see is the Left trying to overthrow a duly elected President. I don't see any GOP pushing partisan sham investigations.

The one REAL investigation, Government corruption being lead by Durham and Barr isn't partisan in nature, rather, exposing partisan hacks who swindled the system at the highest institutions.

Were any of the witnesses trained in law sufficiently to identify the crimes or to determine what was impeachable?? Were they there to? The only ones with that kind of training were the legal experts who did give a few crimes in their opinions.
I do believe the actual witnesses did give us a good view of the chaos that was produced by rudy and others. It shows that some were given the impression that there was a quid for quo, bribe, or however you wish to label it. The text messages show this.
What is a crime what isnt would be the job of the justice dept. What is impeachable or not is the job of the house. And, weather their is reason to remove from office is the job of the senate.
In my opinion though, it's been proven that there is a lack of integrity in the White House and republican party, not the the dems have integrity oozing out of thier pores. But at least the dems are still trying to keep the illusion alive.
The republicans are leading us into a constitutional crisis if not something worse.

Yep! So why are the Democrats trying to impugn the Senate again?

ETA:

But at least the dems are still trying to keep the illusion alive.

That's the problem. I don't want their illusion. I want reality.

He did say its in the bag for the president even though they have not been presented with the evidence yet.
He said the jury is on the side of the defendant.
Y'all love to whine and cry about things not being fair but it seems you really don't recognize it when you see it.

They have to take an oath to be impartial. HA! I seriously doubt any of the GOP will keep that oath.
They will all have their fingers crossed behind their backs.

The fix is in.

What are you talking about? The so called "evidence" has been on display for the past several weeks. I understand how you might not think that the Democrats were presenting evidence, because there isn't any, but that was their shot. And your bit about the GOP violating some impartiality oath? What oath is that exactly? And why weren't the Democrats required to swear by it?

You know, that's getting really insulting.

Are you reading my thoughts right now? What are you, some sort of mystic that can just look into a crystal ball and see my neurons talking to each other? What am I thinking right now? What will I be thinking in five minutes? What was I thinking five minutes ago?

How about you try to figure out what you're thinking before you start telling me what I am thinking?

The left has to tell you how to think and what to think.

Just look at Trump.

They have told us for months what they think Trump was thinking and they are impeaching him based on what they think he meant!

You used a lot words but didn't say much. Sounds like you honestly believe that Trump is corrupt for investigating corruption. We get it, you don't like Trump, and you bought into what the MSM as been selling 24/7. That is to say, you cannot actually point to real instances that show that the President is hurting the country. Basically, Russia bad, and now Ukraine bad. Looking into corrupt Democrats bad. Therefore, Trump bad.

Russia is an excuse from days long gone but resonate with some and those which believe they are educated...

Russia's economy is crap, over penciling to look good...they are selling crappy goods because they realize and understand: just a gas station.

Putin seeks glory days of USSR...ok...cant afford it, hardly could stretch supplies to Syria...cmon!

Looked up various constitutional websites to get a consensus meaning of term "high crimes and misdemeanors" turns out framers were worried that original wording mentioning treason, bribery were too narrow and left door open for other abuses so they added catch-all "high crimes and misdemeanors.

This was based on 700 years of english law which loosely defined "high crimes and misdemeanors" to cover abuse of public trust up to activities bordering on criminal activity.

The constant example across several sites given was continually lying to public with no national security reasons involved. Much like Obama and Healthcare "you can keep your doctor" etc.

Our founders and framers were generally well educated, well read and smart. They could never have understood the regression of intelligence and enhancement of malfeasance demonstrated by today's population and the creatures it places into office or they would have defined things better as if speaking to their imbecilic unlearned ignorant children.

Both parties have abused constitutions Article II, Section 4 first with Clinton and now with Trump for purely partisan political reasons which I believe come no where near level intended to invoke ArtII Sec. 4

Democrats Already Attacking Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

That's because Republicans are suppose to roll over and do what the traitors in the House say.

Democrats have no effing clue what separation of power, due process, or jurisprudance mean.

I've never hated anyone more in my life than I do right now.

I hate the ever living hell out of the left.

We all KNEW when they took power during the last midterm we'd end up here.

WE ALL KNEW IT.

I am just saying that you want your version of the illusion to win out over what has been the standard version or the dems version. All three are illusions, theres always been back door deals and corruption going on, lies told, ect. But they were kept under the rug for the most part and the people at least believed that those that ruled had the country's best interest at heart. Well, thanks to both parties really that illusion has been shot to hades and back. But, where does that lead us? Where's the truth? Where is the search for the truth? The right is lying to us through their teeth, the left is lying to us through theirs. Presenting us with illusions and telling us we have to choose one. Both are steering us closer and closer to the conclusion of our government system no longer works, our constitution is no longer providing us with solutions. Time for a change... but to what? The far left and the far right, for different reasons, have chosen anarchy. Others have chosen socialism. Others seem to want a theocratic dictatorship or something.. doesnt matter really what we choose since in the end, the main problem will still be present there will be no integrity present and any system we can come up with will only be as good as the people.

Not mine, but relevant:
“The President has abused his power and obstructed Congress’ ability to hold him accountable for his actions. His use of military assistance to pressure another country to interfere in our election put our national security and our democracy at risk. The Constitution requires that after articles of impeachment pass the House of Representatives, the president must be given a fair trial in the Senate.

”Senator McConnell has promised to sabotage that trial and he must recuse himself. No court in the country would allow a member of the jury to also serve as the accused’s defense attorney. The moment Senator McConnell takes the oath of impartiality required by the Constitution, he will be in violation of that oath. He has effectively promised to let President Trump manage his own impeachment trial. The Senator must withdraw.”

And, trump seems to believe tha the entire intelligence community is corrupt for investigating what was going on in the last presidential election. Just cant figure out how yous balance out that that that was wrong but what was done in Ukraine wasnt..
But you seem not to understand what I was saying...
I dont know if there is anything in the biden story. But considering how the past three years have gone, I think it was rather foolish for trump to decide to 'investigate' now when it looks so obvious to many that he is just repeating what got him into trouble to begin with.

And, why should you care what I am saying.

Because I've seen those with your ideological persuasion use this exact same tactic against others. You use it all the time against Trump... as DBCowboy pointed out above, every complaint you have with him is based on what you think he thinks. Every cry of "RACIST!" is a statement that you know what your target is thinking. It has been used to mis-characterize, demonize, and antagonize enough people for long enough... now either put up or shut up.

TELL ME WHAT I AM THINKING or admit you don't know what I am thinking.

In your own words you say you see me as having no credibility. That is kind of insulting in and of itself. And, that post has alot of assuming on what is on my mind and a whole mess of false accusations about me also.

The loss of credibility is from the actions... not the words... that have been taken. In your post, you self-identified with those who are trying to demonize McConnell. I didn't do that; you did. Those people are using actions to carry out their agenda. I don't know what they (or you) are thinking, and I make no judgements about that. I do know what they (and by your own words, you) are doing. It's as plain as the nose on my face that the whole idea is to try and somehow get Trump removed from office, to overturn 63 million votes in a free and fair election, over what someone thinks Trump is thinking.

Actions... not just words, and certainly not thoughts... are what I base all that on.

So, are you at least ready to admit openly that you do not know what I am thinking?

The only cry of racist from me that I can think of goes back to Charlottesville and the unite the right crowd that seems to have been more of a white separatists get together.
I have alot of gripes with trump, but dont think I've ever came out and called him a racist..
But ya, I've called mitch Moscow mitch, but it had nothing to do with the ukraine mess or the impeachment obviously, since it was before those things came to light. And, you cant knock me for calling him the grim reaper when he was the first one to refer to himself as such.

  • No President is required to agree with Congress, nor is he required to assist with his own prosecution. He maintains the right to refuse to cooperate with his prosecutors, as does every other citizen of the United States of America.

  • Trump did not withhold any military aid from Ukraine. it was all released within the time frame specified by the appropriation, and he even included authorizing the purchase of Javeiin missiles.

  • Not once has Mitch McConnell stated that the President would not receive a fair trial. On the contrary, he has stated that standard rules of criminal trial would be implemented as much as possible, with both sides able to call witnesses.

  • As leader of the Senate, Mitch McConnell's recusal would render the impeachment trial unconstitutional.

  • Mitch McConnell is not acting as anyone's lawyer. He is allowed to coordinate with the President in the course of their duties. Trump already has a team of lawyers ready to go, including Rudy Guiliani and Jay Sekulow.

  • One cannot be in violation of an oath upon taking it. One must perform an action (or fail to perform an action) after taking an oath to be in violation by definition. Oaths are not retroactive to birth.

  • The President certainly has every right to manage his own defense.

  • The trial will be managed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court as per Constitutional demand. Mitch McConnell is not the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Donald Trump is not the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

  • Any dismissal of charges would be made by a vote of the Senate, not by any one Senator, or possibly by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court if initial evidence indicates that no provable charges exist.
Whoever wrote that (and I will point out that you did not provide a link, so I have to assume those are your words despite your first sentence) has no earthly idea what they are talking about. That may be a record for the most lies in the fewest words.
