Just saw this elsewhere.
He was a staple of British TV growing up.
I had no idea He was a climate change denier however.
RIP Mr. Bellamy.

Sad news , David Bellamy was a great man who's TV programs captured the imagination and inspired interest in the natural world , loved his programs and loved the man.

A giant has passed.
Rest in Peace Dr Bellamy.

Hmm i'm not surprised at a lack of respect on here to be honest.

This place is mostly about Septic politics these days after all.

Beforeitsnews is calling.

The star previously said he believed his controversial viewers on climate change may have cost him his television career.

In 2004 he dismissed global warming as “poppycock”.

In 2013 he told The Independent, “All of the work dried up after that.

“I was due to start another series with the BBC but that didn't go anywhere, and the other side [ITV] didn't want to know.

“I was shunned. They didn't want to hear the other side." But does he still believe he is right? "Absolutely."

He added that he still didn’t believe global warming was happening.

“It is not happening at all, but if you get the idea that people's children will die because of CO2 they fall for it?”

David was married to his wife Rosemary, who died last year.

When Rosemary asked the BBC for tapes of his broadcasts they said they'd 'lost them'. Does that sound plausible or does that sound like punishment for speaking up for science?

He's the only man I ever saw my father hug. I loved him dearly.

A nicer guy than Attenborough and I still remember his voice and how he could get excited about things on his nature program's.

Sad to hear another childhood person that we respected and found interesting way back when has now passed on but I guess he will now be exploring a much larger natural world than he ever knew existed.

This is why his career was destroyed, he did not tow the line on global warming (which though real I hold is mostly natural and only partially contributed to by mankind but the anti humanist population control people want to use it to justify population control and human culling).
