The IG report confirms it -- the Trump "Pee Tapes" story was just a rumor overheard in a bar

Haven’t Trump supporters been crying for nearly three years about the repercussions of the Steele Dossier?

If you’re interested, start there.

Yes, because the FBI relied on this dossier full of bar stories and internet rumors as the justification for spying on Trump. Horowitz stated this in his report, and said so again in his testimony today.

Also the report makes it clear that, not only did the FBI know Steele wasn't reliable, but Steele knew his sources were unreliable, and his sources knew their info was unreliable! It is literally not possible to create a flimsier pretense for spying.

I always thought the story originated as one of Trump's own bar jokes. He strikes me as the kind of person who would say to his buddies "this is what I did", meaning "this is what I should have done". It doesn't make all that much sense even as a joke, because there would be no point in doing it after the other person had slept there. "Before" would make more sense. Perhaps the clumsiness of the humour also marks it as a Trump joke. Taking a joke as a literal confession would be a very left-wing thing to do.

Yep , "shop talk"

Some just worried about it more than others.

That's what I thought...but I also wonder where Trump did spend that Moscow night, especially since he denied he was there at the time in question.........when he was in fact in Moscow.

But, never mind the wee wees, Putin did give aid to Trump, that's without question, and that was the big question overall.

So , you have evidence Mueller could not find ?
You really needed to turn that over to Mueller or else you have withheld evidence.

Denying ignorance.
Why ?
Dirty job , but someone has to do it

That’s not true.

If you don’t know it’s not true, read Horowitz’s report of the 9th.

Break out of the bubble.

I just want to make a small point.

Remember, if Hillary had been elected, none of this would have come to light.

This would have all been buried.

From the aforementioned “IG Report” ...

On October 21, 2016, NSD submitted the Carter Page FISA application to the FISC, asserting that there was probable cause to believe that Page was an agent of the Russian government.
The application relied on, among other things:
• The information provided by the FFG about its interaction with Papadopoulos;
• Information from the FBI's previously opened counterintelligence investigation relating to Page arising from his contacts with Russian intelligence officers;
• Information from Steele's reports that pertained specifically to Carter Page; and
• Information from a meeting between Page and an FBI CHS that was consensually monitored by Crossfire Hurricane investigators

Sourced from justice.gov from Page 5.

Can you guys READ English?

Yep
It says the dossier is poop.
It says there are 17 instances of malfeasance.
It says THE ENTIRE FISA PROCESS needs to be revised because of this event.

Um, open question. . . . .

Why do we even have a FISA court?

Isn't that like, ya' know, police state bullpoop?

So we have a legit way of spying on our own citizens.

Draconian as #.

What would the Press's reaction be if this was the scenario...

1. An overzealous agent, in 2008, believes Valerie Jarret may be an Iranian asset
2 . The FBI opens an investigation
3. During that investigation the FBI receives a dossier chock full of third hand info regarding Obama that is unverifiable and likely fabricated
4 . Using all of this info the Bush administration obtains FISA warrants to wiretap and spy on the Obama campaign. .
5 . after Obama is elected The GOP pushes to have an independent investigation into Obama and his ties to Iran
6. This investigation goes after any Obama associate for any reason, no matter how insignificant or ancient it may be.
7. After 2 years of investigation the report is inconclusive, at best

Do you honestly believe the Press would react in the same manner?

This Press has allowed this to happen
In my opinion they bear a larger burden of guilt than any official
