Yes. I would propose that we adapt as we've done for hundreds of thousands of years. Not sure what type of measurement we'd take if our weather was THAT extreme though. Lol.

Yes. That was before our last civilization was wiped out by an asteroid and they had industrialized cities and the most popular sport was Dinosart - a bi-weekly fart contest, much akin to cockfighting, between dinosaurs.

We still have fart contests.... Not much has changed.

Either way, I'm not really someone who buys into climate change to the extent many push... My point was more that science (data points) from millions of years before our existence don't hold much relevance to now.

From an energy perspective, I want us to strive for clean energy so long as we can make batteries that aren't as bad as fossil fuels (extraction and disposal of them). And more importantly, I want a time where we replace the vegetation we extract, how hard is it to tell a profiting company to plant where they extract?

Will we die if those things don't happen? I doubt it, maybe someone way down the line will... But I think we'd live better for it, while being more prosperous without reliance on foreign fossil fuels (long term).

I agree with all of that except the fart contests. We still have them, but not usually with dinosaurs (I'm looking at you, Bernie and Nancy).

On a less serious matter, I'm not too sure we'll ever find a battery replacement but we should have plenty of fossil fuel below us. Plus trees will always grow, so we have that, too.

I wonder if Greta knows how at home she is, in the conservatives heads. She should pay rent.

Almost like the TDS syndrome with a 16 yr old kid.

I, for one, would like to congratulate Ms. Thunberg on receiving the recognition she deserves for all of her hard work and sacrifice in raising awareness of the problem of global warming. It's not easy for a well-to-do teenage white girl to skip school and go traveling around talking to people and create drama. I wish more teenage white girls could be so courageous when it comes to lecturing people about things for which they have little knowledge.

Maybe we could get some teenage white girl to skip school and go on a world tour to bring awareness to the Epstein controversy.

I haven't picked up a Time magazine once... ever... in my life. Scouts honor.

The cover has stared me in the face EVERY SINGLE TIME I'VE EVER GROCERY SHOPPED. Then factor in it's association with all the other rags in that section, and I reckon I never considered it legitimate.

My instincts are still correct it seems.

I’d like to thank all you right wingers who felt so threatened by a teenage girl that you couldn’t stop talking about her.

Thanks to you, she’s Time Magazines person of the year.

Yep, they should keep making threads about her..it's a self fulfilling prophecy.

You honestly think that? They wouldn't let her be ignored. She is a sock puppet for an agenda. Its almost sad how she's being used.

Ask yourself, why not that Slat kid who actually invented something to fight pollution? Or the Hong Kong protestors? All she's done is skip school to go yachting, claim that her childhood was stolen, and say a line.

But it makes sense that TIME has come full circle. The first socialist fascist on the cover was Hitler. Now we have an socialist eco-fascist on the cover.

Pfft. I’ll take the under on if she makes it to 27.

This tightly wound as a teen. She’ll flame out sooner than later.

Congratulations to her! Well deserved and all the haters are just jealous morons. Pathetic really. She's also right that indigenous people have been murdered for trying to protect their homeland. But # it right we dont need clean air or water or trees if the economy is good everything will be okay right.

Ugh...enough with all this attention.

The political "pawn," who is being manipulated by her parents and climate extremists to become the "angry" face of climate change, has just made the 2019 TIME's "Person of the Year."

Yep, the same person who was called a "brat" by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro on Tuesday, after Greta Thunberg tweeted that indigenous people were murdered while trying to protect the Amazon from deforestation.

Gee, I wonder how much money Greta's parents are making from their daughter's fame and notoriety? Seems like their PR stunt has been quite successful...well done!

Any evidence to back this up? Or just more BS to fit your belief?
