I don't need to educate myself the facts are plain as day.

Just like the kid on the floor with the drip in his arm.

Educate yourself because the Tory party doesn't give a rats arse about children unless there is a sex ring involved or dossier to be lost.

This is thanks to Austerity policy.

Austerity has crippled this country and those who supported such a policy should be arrested as enemies of the state for intentionally and deliberately harming this nation. This may not include Boris but certainly includes various members of his cabinet.
This country is a disgrace. Blair and Cameron have a lot to answer for.

It wont be long if Corbyn gets in that it wont just be austerity it will be bankruptcy.

Yikes, that was a perfect display of exactly why you need to educate yoursellf.

But I almost forgot, you have an agenda here. You're part of the problem group. We both know it.

It already is for all intents and purposes, since the government seemingly doesn’t invest a penny into the country. With the exception of increasingly expensive private contracts that go to businesses owned by party financiers of course.

My agenda is quite simple.

Another 5 years of Tory rule nevermind a Boris shaped Brexit deal will sink this nation good and proper, i make no qualms about my thoughts on the matter.

Just google NHS cuts ffs, there plain as day all over the nation.

The financial crash brought us 'Austerity' and bankruptcy on a grand scale - except for the banks themselves and other major financial institutions, which were 'too big to fail'.

This was a direct result of rampant and unregulated capitalism. Corbyn could not possibly compete with that level of financial mischief, even if he was minded to.

The Austerity program is a fiscal policy and deficit reduction program adopted by the Tories.

It's their wet dream, and a forced one at that.

As to the banker bailout, well one of the main contributing factors was that pretty much every Tom, Dick and Harry being given 150% mortgage deals, that they were never going to be able to pay back in the first place, if my understanding is correct.

This is nonsense. When I'm done I'll prove you wrong gladly, but why don't we start with this?

In real terms NHS funding increases year on year, albeit more slowly under the Conservatives. An aging population puts ever greater demands on health services. Most of us think it's money well spent and do not wish to see it privatised. The Conservatives, despite what they claim, have demonstrated they believe otherwise.

Which part is nonsense, the wean on the floor with a drip in its arm, or Boris complete and utter disregard for the poor wee soul when being made aware of the fact?

Google NHS cuts and prove me wrong, or better yet talk with someone who works in the system, im sure the will fill you in good and proper as to the horrendous situation, work environment, nevermind casualty numbers that cannot be accommodated or even seen in the appropriate time scale.

Edit: My bad its an oxygen delivery tube not a drip.

Very British looking fella there. Let's listen to him over easily verifiable government statistics.

You're a liar, and we both know why. You're part of this group. It's clear mate. You have a good night. I'm out. Go home!

Agreed, but it was sold to us as the inevitable consequence of the financial crash. Labour (pre Corbyn) went along with that narrative.

Indeed, a one way bet on ever increasing property prices, played by the lenders for profit and the borrowers for houses - rampant, unregulated capitalism.

They are all a shower of snakes mate.

Some more than others all the same.

Kids on the floor, for the night, in supposed first-world hospitals is just a complete and utter travesty all the same, no matter which way anyone cares to spin the situation.

And Boris's reaction is quite frankly frightening.

I Think the Doctor in the video i posted touches on the numerous problem associated where the lack of proper government funding of our NHS is concerned, if that helps.

SO a few things for the perspectives of a Pediatric Transport Nurse Specialist with 25+ years in hospitals:

1) It happens. Hospitals have finite amount of beds and staff even in non austere facilities or situations. There is very little "surge" capacity so if a particular hospital has too many patients a triage and waiting game ensues. Yes a floor seems extreme, but whats the alternative? a car?

2) How sick is he? Difficult to tell but a few clues are there. The picture of him on the floor shows him getting blowby which is just a hint of oxygen but not much else. The askew nasal canula is also a low concentration delivery system and looks posed for the picture. plus a kid that age is on the go, so its like herding cats so short of restraints its going to be on and off. The picture of his standing upright with the non re-breather mask looks dramatic and it delivers a high concentration of oxygen 90% plus but again the devils in the details. No signs of respiratory distress, no retractions, he looks calm, he is not cyanotic, kids that truly need that high level of O2 are not standing up, nor are they left off monitor.

3) If he was that sick he would not have been discharged 24 hours later either except.......

4) Jack looks like he was a premature infant looking at his head (He has classic toaster head, yes yes its cruel but I am not a NICU nurse and thats what THEY call it) so the admit may have been precautionary in measure.

5) The mom put him on the floor cause he wanted to goto sleep as the hospital was too full for anything other than chairs. Yes, staff should have gotten him a proper blanket, but also with peds, if a kid is asleep but otherwise okay you leave them the frick alone.

6) The complaint about being on a trolley: I assume thats Brit for gurney. look again it happens. a few weeks ago my 16 year old had viral meningitis, you know what we spent 6 hours in the waiting room, and 5 hours on the trolley. I WORK THERE and knew the staff but ER's work on the principal of triage. Sicker people get the priority. In the case of Jack and my son, sorry they were not that sick

If the hospital was full and they were the Only facility taking pediatric patients in the area, its not unreasonable that this would have occurred in ANY medical system

I think we can assume the Hospital was full or the child would have been on a bed or gurney rather than a seat or the floor.

Tell you one thing, Hospital floors are not the cleanest of places no matter how many times they are gone over.

No matter how full the place was, putting a wean there on the floor, covered in coats, or allowing the child to remain there is not the best of situations.

I find it unreasonable nevermind nonsensical given the amount of Norovirus doing the rounds nevermind who knows what else is on that floor.
