Just in case you missed it I think its worth repeating post by angelchemuel
There was a post made on FaceBook by a senior nurse that the boy was on a trolley, had been seen within 20 minutes of arriving at the hospital and the mother had taken her son off the trolley and put him on the floor and taken a photo.
The trolley can be seen clearly next to the boy.
Whether the post is genuine or not....no idea.

BUT I WILL TELL YOU THIS MUCH....I am a mother, and if I had been in that hospital, and there were no beds or trolleys available....there ain't no way on God's good earth I would put my child down on a 'pile of coats', then photograph him and make a bloody political statement out of it on social media, when he is that ill I have to take him to the hospital!!!! PERIOD!
He would be in my arms and sat on my knee!!!

IS THAT FAKE ENOUGH FOR YOU!!!!!

Yes, that social media story is a known fake one, (as it is also known that the photograph and background is a genuine story)
while the former has already been repeated many times on social media with variations, like having association with medicine/nursing etc;...ahem.
Perhaps there are even pointers to the source persons...yes there is more than one, when I say pointers, you'd have to be an ejit not to know anyway.

Just another nonsense propaganda story for the election cycle.
Designed for the idiots who actually fall for this cr*p every time their is an election - basically a typical 'sway the morons' effort.

If its a nonsense story then why have the NHS Trust issued a statement and apology regarding what transpired?

And where is Waldo, sorry i mean Boris, hiding in the fridge per-chance?

It's nonsense because it's propaganda.

The NHS is a vast organisation that is going to make mistakes or run into difficulties all year round.
They'll get it right far more times than they get it wrong.
What happened here is that propagandists took the worst of the NHS and used it as an election headline.. all about the timing.
The morons are, of course, up in arms as they don't have the brains to realise this is not something endemic in the NHS and that issues can arise, or that this is not a Tory issue at all.
Every time there is an election the opposition party try to politicise the NHS and blame the sitting govt for any issues the NHS faces.

Like I said - all designed for morons to lap up in the hope of a few votes at election time.

Not falling for any cr*p from either side.
I'll leave it to the morons to pick and choose the propaganda they want to push.

You realize an apology is pretty much an admission of guilt and there was an actual acknowledgment of wrongdoing by the NHS Trust?

That's not propaganda but factual evidence.

Man this feels real familiar. A familiar tactic was deployed here in the States by the losing party. Enjoy your BS, its all your gonna get from people who employ this kind of garbage.

Because......

NHS compensation payouts 'unsustainable', say health leaders
Rising cost of payments diverting funds away from frontline care, justice secretary told
Payouts given to NHS patients who have been victims of negligence should be reduced because they are “unsustainable”, health service leaders have told the justice secretary.

The rising cost of payouts is diverting significant amounts of funding away from frontline patient care, they said in a letter seen by the Guardian.

Seven leaders including Niall Dickson, chief executive of the NHS Confederation, warned justice secretary David Gauke that the rising cost of clinical negligence claims was having a significant impact on the health service.

From my thinking its the politicians diverting significant amounts of funding away from frontline patient care.

As is clearly evidenced by the last 9 years of Tory neglect aka forced austerity.

Mistakes cost monies, and inflation only ever seems to head in the one direction, canny see why should reduced the payouts given to patients who have been victims of negligence.

Probably best not to neglect any patient in the first place imho, that way the problem solves itself.

The NHS has ever increasing funds, Its not money it needs so much as

MANAGING and WASTAGE.

As is clearly evidenced by the last 9 years of Tory neglect aka forced austerity.

The NHS had problems long before that and they were exacerbated by the use of PFI.

Mistakes cost monies

The only people who make the money are lawyers in litigation who use

the law to bend the rules ...... to benefit the rich who can buy innocence.

Or make their exorbitant fees by *no win no fee* cases which is what

these cases usually are.

So the lawyers in the litigation teams make the reddies, who would have thought?

Still need to compensate people who have received substandard or ill-treatment all the same.

Take for instance the poor souls who have received contaminated blood, and by default Hepatitis C.

Accidents do indeed happen all the time.

Going with your logic there would be no need for the likes of insurance then?

Life is what we make it, and unfortunately Poltics and politicians influence such.

We help those that require such, and everyone contbutes via national insurance, or at least that's how the cookie is supposed to crumble.

Specifically what 'decades of socialist policy failures'?

Seems random and sweeping generalisations lacking any substance whatsoever are becoming more and more commonplace and acceptable here on ATS....an indication of the overall general decline in standards?

What I realise is that the NHS has had to admit guilt many times over the years - both in Tory and Labour administrative hands. I also realise that the NHS is used as a political hot potato every election cycle. Mistakes that happen are sensationalised around election time for political gain - the very definition of propaganda.

Well if the cap fits.

4-year-olds sleeping on floors is deplorable, just ask any health and safety inspector.

A lot of mistakes seem to have happened or have been allowed to happen in the past decade.

What's especially of a biased or misleading nature here?

The statement issued by the trust pretty much clarify exactly what happened.

So glad that the type of BS propaganda this thread represents failed miserably to have any impact on the election outcome.
I suspect it actually handed more seats the Tories as I am sure most sensible people see through the BS and were sufficiently disgusted by the propagandists hyping up the issues in the NHS whilst ignoring the good it does.
