It means understanding how this country was founded. The ideas, principles, philosophies, thoughts and experiences that made it possible for America to advance faster and achieve more than any other nation on the planet in recorded human history.

I'm not an expert on the founding fathers of the US but what I have read about them suggests that they did want to protect America from the problems they saw in Europe at the time. Most of what they said reads well and seems to make pretty good sense. I guess they'd be turning in their graves at what America has become today?

In just over 200 years, we did more than most nations that had been here for thousands prior.

Really. Like what?

It means recognizing when the government has overstepped its boundaries and how to push back against tyranny.

With all due respect, if people haven't recognised this already that's a worry. The government has been serving the interests of the wealthy, over the common man, for a long time.

As an American, the Founders wanted this, and expected it in order for our great Republic to withstand the mix of cultures that our laws and freedoms would tolerate, far beyond the rest of the world. America was designed to accept people of all nations

How did that approach work out for the Natives?

I dont think I have read anywhere, that the Native peoples there at the time, wrote a letter to the King of England, and ask him to invade their lands.....

Just imagine if your first fleet, not the occasional white whaler or viking that had already visited, but you first fleet of "Pilgrims", were actually met at the shore/beach whatever, by a volley of arrows, then a full on attack by the locals, and all completely slaughtered, with any surviving women and children taken as squaws.

Just imagine if the local peoples didnt feel sorry for the stupid white fella, who were starving living in his wood huts, and they introduced them to turkeys and corn.

Just imagine if the locals knew of all the diseases and filth that the white fella had brought with them from Europe, to infect all the local people, and slowly kill them off with their no resistance.

Fortunately for you all, the natives allowed you to stay, presumably hoping you would go back to where you came from eventually, but no, they felt sorry for you all, and helped you.......big mistake on their part.

That looks like an 80s era video. I was buried in study in school then and I recall having heard his name. I think I probably didn't listen too closely to someone that other people thought was a kook and I may have been wrong about that. Looks like I missed out on being exposed to some real facts I now believe on my own accord. Cooper as he sounds correct when he describes the future if we don't do something about it then, 30 years or more I guess.
