Please remember that the plan was (and is) to get a Senate Impeachment Trial, with McConnell as the lead Prosecutor, and Justice Roberts as the judge.

If it was a real court of law then they would all be subpenaed, but since it is impeachment there is no danger of life, liberty, or property being lost.

Trump and those involved may still face a true court after all of this though even if the senate lets him go. It is the same thing Nixon faced which is part of the reason he resigned and had the VP pardon him. That kept him from facing possible imprisonment.

I guess we can always hope that the people we don't like and don't approve of in this world will eventually get theirs in the end. The alternative is to realize the world isn't always fair and fall into depression. So its healthy to hope.
