Just because you say you are Libertarian does not mean you are for true Liberty. There are left leaning Green Libertarians who support ridiculous eco agendas. So please spare me the sound bites. Second: you said that you are easier on left leaning communist types. That tells me all I need to know.
i will, however, concede that your discussion of Trump supporters self identifying as Christians appeared to me as a reference to his 63 million strong voter base, hence my assumption you were name calling them all “hierophants”. But thank you for the clarification.
Still, Hierophant still seems to be a reference to more esoteric teaching, and you have used or in the context of a slur, when most of those you have mentioned are more in the realm of “televangelist fundamentalist”. But I will forgive you even that. Would you mind expounding on those teachings of Christ which you say are the basis of your declaration of a Trump as anti Christ and please explain to me how any person who believes in Liberty would even give any communist a glance of approval as you seem to have done.
Please do give me your wise counsel in Christ truth. I would love to hear your discourse on the difference between socialism and the multiplying of the loaves and fishes.
Here is why I don't go for the Libertarian model..... and I have noticed that many people here who claim to be Libertarian are the left leaning model. So from a Libertarian point of view..... here is one thing I oppose which I also believe is not Libertarian at all

affirming wealth redistribution;
bleedingheartlibertarians.com...
So that is from a Libertarian site and for women apparently. Why would anyone claiming to be Libertarian call for wealth redistribution? What that boils down to is they really support the State confiscating people's income and giving it to someone or something else. I'm sorry but that just does not cut it. By the way, left leaning Democrats also support the warfare state, they just pretend not to. Think that only right wingers support the Patriot Act? Then why does Joe Biden claim to have written the precursor to it? In his own words. When you start to confiscate the fruits of another's labor because you believe that your own ideas are more important, there begins to be a problem.
But honestly, you revealed yourself when you stated you are easier on communists than Trump Supporters then called the people around Trump self-described Christians and hierophants. Perhaps there are a few evangelicals in his immediate camp. But it seems that the real problem is the socialist/communist holdovers from the previous administration and the Soros operatives in NSC and so on.

Boy, is the article they wrote a piece of crap. How could Trump accomplish anything when the Democrats are always throwing investigation after investigation at him? The Democrats just showed how effective at creating chaos they are. Obama came out of a major recession, there was no way to go but up. Trump took that and kept it going, something Hillary would never have accomplished if she had won the election.

First of all, not one bit of political discussion was done at our Thanksgiving dinner, the person writing that article is actually trying to get Democrats to start political discussions at an event that is supposed to bring our people together. I have not discussed politics at family gatherings like that EVER...Talking turkey does not mean talking politics. It is discussing what kind of turkey it is and if there is any conflict it is because someone does not care for a new kind of dish someone brought. You do not blame lumpy potatoes on Trump.

Well, actually, the taters wouldn't be so lumpy if they didn't grow so fast. They grew too fast because of all that carbon dioxide in the air. All that carbon dioxide wouldn't be there if Trump hadn't pulled the US out of the Paris Accord...

We had turkey and stuffing. The potatoes were a little runny but passable. We didn't have fresh bread but we did have Kings Hawaiian rolls, so it all worked out.

Nobody mentioned Trump, Bernie, Christians, athiests, the rape culture, the culture war or global warming. Great grandpa told some funny stories to the kids. He's occxassionally / unintentionally "racist" toward Asian people and thinks they "all look alike" but he didn't bring it up over dinner or desert. He lost four of his HS besties in Veitnam and tries to catch himself because he knows it makes us a little uncomfortable. We were grateful he could make it out regardless.

I did throw back a couple jiggers of Apple Brandy (leftover from baking) before doing the dishes. There were a lot of dishes. Lot of help too. That's Thanksgiving for ya.

I'm harder on Trump supporters, namely the protestant ones, because they should know better.

Luke 12:48 From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.

As christians, Trump & Co are to love God with all heart, soul, mind, and strength; as well as loving their neighbor as self. That's what Jesus taught, and I don't see Trump or the vast majority of his supporters reflecting those two fundamental laws. If you as a Trump supporter do not identify as a believer in Christ, then my criticism does not apply to you.

I have criticized the left many times here on ATS, but my emphasis on the right does not make me sympathetic to Communism.

I'll use whatever terminology I see fit to communicate my opinions.

No instructions for shutting down anti-Trumpers? But we wouldn’t want to do that now, would we?

It’s odd that you’re left-leaning when so many leftists are atheists or agnostics who despise Christianity and Christians. Are you really a priest?

There is little in this world less offensive than someone who has no idea about a religion trying to preach it to those trying to live it. Check the log in your eye.

Why not go to some place like Sudan and educate them on their own culture?

Honestly, I thought the lefties had pretty well martyred themselves by cutting off their hateful family when he was first elected. Either the Orange Man Contagion keeps spreading, or they all came crawling back to make their families miserable.

And if as a Christian saw either candidate in this last election as a believer in Christ, I cannot help you.

My voting calculus there was very simple: which candidate is most likely to support and pass measures hindering my ability to live my faith. On that level, the answer was very simple.

No one can hinder your ability to live by faith. I can understand if the uncertainty in the world made you feel threatened, but faith comes from within. Many see Cyrus in Trump. I see king Saul.

I know the 2000 years of tyranny that has followed the Bible throughout Christian history. There's always a group of people who seek to weaponize religion as a means of world domination, and I'm telling you that Trump and his handlers are that group. They are just like Constantine, Justinian I, and most of the other Byzantine emperors. You don't know who you've voted for until you've investigated the New Apostolic Reformation, the Latter Rain Movement, the Seven Mountains mandate, and Third Rome.

I know my religion well, and I know the corruption that persistently tries to infect it every 3 to 4 generations.

I check my eyes for logs daily. Its mandated in 1John 1:9.

You know nothing.

Anyone can read the words; it requires thought, study, and a lifetime of active interest in not just the printing, but in contemplation of the mind of the writer (and I do not reference the mortal men who put pen to paper). You, and those like you, are the primary reason I attend no church; read Matthew 23:13-29, O pharisee and scribe.

I know my religion well

Perhaps you do; I cannot say. I can say that if that statement is true, it is an open admission that you do not know Jesus, the Son of God, nor His Father.

I check my eyes for logs daily.

1John 1:9 also mandates you remove them.

ETA: no, it doesn't... proof that you do not know even the words. Here is 1 John 1:9...

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Perhaps you were thinking of Matthew 7:3-5. Those are the words of Jesus Himself; 1 John is an epistle (letter) from John to the Church.

That's what I get for assuming you even knew the words...

I’m sorry to say, that passage does not refer to redistributing wealth by confiscation by the government. It is NOT an excuse for Marxism and it’s too bad you bought into that ridiculous nonsense. I’m so weary of people who quote the Bible to justify taking one persons labor to give to others. It is not the teaching of Christ . Thisvuu I s not the same as voluntary charity or villagers giving to Buddhists in their begging bowls.

The Roman Catholic Church's unbroken teaching condemns all forms of Marxism and Communism. Pope Pius XI wrote in Quadragesimo Anno that “no one can be at the same time a good Catholic and a true socialist.”

“See to it, Venerable Brethren, that the Faithful do not allow themselves to be deceived!” he wrote. “Communism is intrinsically wrong, and no one who would save Christian civilization may collaborate with it in any undertaking whatsoever.”

Look Believer priest, no one who quotes passages justifying redistribution of wealth can pretend to not be socialist. Socialism is merely the bridge to communism, and indeed even from Lenin and Marx, socialism is inextricably part of communism.
You have stated that you are not as hard on leftists as you are on the Christian Right supporters if Trump, so please stop trying to pretend with me. I’m fairly certain you are not a true Christian but a leftist posing as one, or at the very best, a Christian Socialust, so I say to you, comprehend what Pope Pius states.
