Keep in mind here that I want to see all taxes go away completely, have Federal and State and local governments go back to spending only what they earn (like all of us) etc.

But come on ... let’s talk in real terms unless you guys just want this to be another “hell with dems” thread.

We'll be paying more, for poorer healthcare.

But on the plus side, you might get to see an overworked PA who can prescribe you something you can't afford!

It is too early to ask what the President’s solution is?

I don’t think anyone’s going to bite on defending what Bernie pulled out of hot air.

I'll say this, republicans would vote for it if Comrade Sanders becomes preezy.

I don't know.

the republicans want to eliminate Obamacare and replace Obamacare.

So WTF?

Republicans are just as greedy.

OH my god. President Sanders.

*shiver*

I can’t imagine that is a viable scenario, but if it is for some reason... he will be stalemated. The Republicans will likely keep one chamber or the other (probably not both).

IF the Dems in fairly short order either drop impeachment or go for censure they may have a chance. If as I believe they are going to HAVE to go ahead with Impeachment to feed their base, then I think a sizable number of independents will go to the other side.

Which means Trump or Trump’s replacement. Bloomberg might have a chance at buying the office ... but he’s just dull as dishwater. Worse than HRC.

No really, seriously ... Sanders said this yesterday and now you’re convinced that this is what all non-Trump supporters want? (Since that seems to be the going definition of “leftist.”)

BS Cowboy. I think Sanders is a right two-watt.

Then one has to wonder why you're criticizing someone who is calling him the same...

Sanders and Warren are to peas in a communist pod.

Bloomberg? This is the guy that told his media center no negative stories about him. He's an authoritarian in size 4 shoes.

Personally?

Trump hasn't screwed up too much, probably vote for him again.

If not him?

Giant Meteor.

Yep, two heads feed the same snake.

I heard about a doctor in FL that is trying an interesting experiment. He accepts no insurance, charges a $35 fee for every office visit, and supposedly is making money.

I’m not in favor of government regulating industry any more than necessary, but the insurance “game” has been created by government subsidies. If that went away cold turkey ... or maybe cool turkey ... I think we’d see proactive changes.

Lots of things have to go back to a small local business model if we’re going to become anything other than Bladerunner.

Government should stop dictating what hospitals have to charge in order to receive Medicare reimbursements.

So in a nutshell what is the issue?

I've never been given the impression that medical care was cheap in the US, I understand that prices would increase with forcing insurance on people but I never thought it was cheap. Is it a pay cash kinda thing?

Idk. I always thought the issue was the monopoly on drugs in the US that had treatment costs so high.

Anyways what is the usual tax on someone earning 30k a year? People kinda need medical intervention now and then. If minimum wage can't get you basic treatments then something is seriously wrong.

Always seems to be an issue of who the hell is paying for it when y'all maybe should be demanding why the hell am I paying so much for this?

The middle class was beat to hell under Republican policies for the last couple of Great Depressions, Recessions, etc. Democratic Administrations got us out of those situations.

WTF ?
You need a history lesson.
Bad .

Are you a "leftist," Gryph? I wouldn't call you one... but then I'm left wondering why you've been so vehemently defending them or at least counter-balancing criticism of them lately. I guess I'm not sure of anything where your motivations are concerned anymore. It seems like you've nestled yourself into a white knight role, running block for people you simultaneously admit aren't very intelligent and shouldn't be in positions of authority over the country, but criticizing anyone who puts the same critique into words.

So in a nutshell what is the issue?

1. An increase in taxes. You'd have to convince me that government spends the money they already take wisely.

2. Socialized medicine. Might work in smaller countries, but here? It'll be a train-wreck. People will lose jobs, services will suffer, and costs will increase.

So basically, we'll all be paying more, for poorer healthcare.

And government will increase in size, scope, authority.

Bernie doesn't really want to be President. That would involve work, something he has never experienced. Bernie just wants adulation for his second-class, hypocritical ideas that he flings about without thinking. Thinking is another thing he seems to have missed.
He is just background noise.

Watch out for Michelle O. Has she filed anywhere yet?

She was an embarrassment of a first lady. She'd be an utter moron campaigning.

Which is why she'll never do it.

Some people might say not-nice things about her.
