Extremists are generally authoritarian.

And psychotic.

Sometimes, in the marketplace of ideas, one finds that folks just aren’t buying what one is selling.

I don’t care for anyone who wants to tell me what speech I can use.

My sweet bride is an RN and I'm calling your post bullcrap.

You do not have any idea of what you're talking about.

Sure guys. I’ve only been working in the medical field 20 years.

Logical fallacy. You think because a few people every year are caught working as an RN or a physician every year that they don't need the education. Between me and my wife we have more years than you, oh and we are actual RN's, and I have worked with my social work degree in inpatient psychiatric hospitals.

I’m not saying they don’t need the education. I’m saying they don’t need all the added parts of the education that don’t add to patient care or outcomes, and just serve to inflate the money that colleges get.

And let’s be clear. Up until the 70’s the vast majority of money in education was govt funding. And hospitals as well. They weren’t considered “free stuff” back then.

And with businesses push to require degrees now, with ever increasing school costs, it’s just become a huge money sink, detrimental to the economy. When I was young, you didn’t need school for ultrasound, which I am currently doing. You could just follow a sonographer for a while and then take the test. Now we have to get all the same prereqs as other medical degrees, the history, foreign language, math, etc, and take 3-4 years of schooling. And I’ve worked with plenty sonographers who got their cert back then, and they are certainly not at a disadvantage compared to today’s school trained sonographers, they just have 30-60k less debt.

A girl I was dating in 95 went to a vo tech high school, where she graduated from a free high school with most of the credits for her lpn, and could transition right into an accelerated rn program. Ready to work much earlier with much less debt.

And don’t get me wrong, I absolutely see the value in foreign languages, arts, history, psych etc. But in today’s world where every delay to getting into your career creates a larger debt burden for the rest of your life, those things need to be post grad options, not barriers to your ability to be productive and work.

You can call it what you want. But societies decline, and that of the middle class, began with the decline of this “free stuff”.

Yep
That’s why the Tea Party is for limited government and limited spending by the government. It was always about the socialism. Unfortunately so many people refused to see that. Socialism is a cancer on the world.
But back to the OP, aoc definitely is playing people for fools, and she likely knows exactly what she is doing.

And the ACA datahub.

The Federal Data Services Hub (Hub), a component of the health insurance exchanges created by Obamacare, connects seven different government agencies and establish new access points to the sensitive personal information of the American public.

They ignore inconvenient truths.

"At any rate, it’s interesting to me that tlaib, Omar, and aoc were among the few to vote against the patriot act."

Makes them even bigger TRAITORS to the republic.

Eh? It actually may be the only redeeming thing they have done since elected to Congress.

Until the FISA Act gets eliminated.

Spying still goes on.

I don't entirely disagree with you.

But at the same time you're essentially arguing for the Articles of Confederation.

Not at all. See the 9th and 10th amendments to the Constitution.

A system our Founding Fathers found to be a complete failure.

Hardly. The Constitutional Convention was originally organized with a very narrow mandate intended to deal with the one shortcoming - the weak federal government that didn't work when it came to foreign relations.

The fact that it ended up scrapping the Articles and wrote an entirely new Constitution is precisely why the Convention of States as is being advocated by a lot of smart but naive people is such a really, really bad idea.

There are numerous Acts that need to be scrapped. The PATRIOT Act is one.

Don’t bother. Number one sign of partisan hacks is when they can’t admit anything done by the opposing “team” is good.

She is a potato, she is not playing anyone for a fool, she is reading from the script given to her (who is pulling her strings is what we should be asking) because I question if she has the intellect to dress herself let along play people for a fool.
