Two-thirds of battleground state voters who chose Trump in 2016 but selected Democrats in the midterms say they will return to the president next year.
“In the last couple years, the Democrats had kind of been losing the work, and I thought Trump might get us that work,” he said. “And to be honest, I’ve been in construction 21 years and the last two years were the best years I’ve ever had.”
“If you’re going to Washington, you need to do something,” he said. “If the only thing you’re going to do the whole time you’re there is try to get rid of the president, that’s a problem. I mean, Trump is not a great person, but you’ve got to get some work done.”
Many of the voters cited economic strength as a major reason to support Mr. Trump in 2020, even if they didn’t support him last time. Also, certain voters who support Trump said they had soured on Democrats because of partisan fighting, culminating in impeachment hearings.
Mr. Trump is “an egotistical, overbearing man,” she said — but said that doesn’t change what he’s achieved. “You’re all going to be very surprised because all these quiet little Christian women aren’t saying anything right now, but they are going to vote for Trump again,” she said.
Independents souring on impeachment underscores risk for Democrats

Trump is done. The independents that hated hilary now know Trump is as partisan and as corrupt as she is. Most likely we get a blob for 4 years while the parties adjust to the fact qe know they all suck.

If my own personal empirical evidence has anything to bear on the topic...
The 100 or so family members that I have voted about 80% for Hillary in 2016... diehard California Democrats for the most part.
Now there is about 6 that will vote D for whatever turd floats to the top of the Democratic primary.
The rest will vote Trump... because jobs and their bigger paycheck.
Let's face it... most voters will vote with their wallets.
The 2020 Presidential election is already over unless there is some economic disaster in the next 11 months.
I'm only interested in the House elections at this point.

Quoted for an absolute disconnect with reality.

The trump economy is the biggest sham in the last 100 years. 100 percent credit and trying to make negative rates and Quantative easing.
It was far better for the long term with the tea party congress and obama.

Let's see..
1. Thinks they know more than generals
2. Has sleazy lawyers all around them
3. Makes under the table deals and profiteers (just signed a court agreement he was stealing from a veterans charity literally signed his name he did this)
4. Has used a combination of politicians greatest hits tax cuts, immigrants bad, etc...
5. Has several people from his campaign in jail for campaign finance fraud or taking money without declaring it.

I see so you hope the market is stable and put your eggs in one basket, how conservative.
I guess you don't have kids so no need to worry about his budgets or deficits.

Are you deliberatively slow?
Just asking.
I diversified into 4 different retirement accounts.
Maybe you can't count.
It might be that "new math" they're teaching.
