You don't plow when it's blowing. It only makes a bigger mess!

When you plow when it's blowing it pushes up the snow, so even more snow drifts in behind the piles you pile up! Plow 3 foot drifts early on, and you get to plow 6 foot drifts later on through the same area!

Moving snow is a real strategy during a storm. It really is...especially here.

My gosh, that's a tragic story!

I'm so sorry for you!

Don't blame it on the snow though.

God Bless! I'm so sorry to read this story.

Alright FCD, it’s time to come clean. Cuz no one has the amount of time to accomplish what you do in a single day.

It's hard, but even though I work nearly 24x7, I do take some breaks. Nobody can work themselves to death. I post some snippets of life now and then, but trust me...I'm not sitting at the computer all day. Just little breaks now and then.

ETA...I like to work. I don't like to sit still. all. Work feels good, keeps the body in shape. Days like today, I am amazed at what we can do. Sometimes it seems impossible...those are the days I like the best.

The funny part is, most of you don't even hear one quarter of what we do on a daily basis.

Oh, and I like naps!! Just a 30 minute siesta is a great thing! I take them often. The wife freaks out, I can say I'm going to take a "30 minute nap", and I will wake up in exactly 30 minutes. I'm good to go! That's all I need.

Well I have plowed in blizzards.
The most was a 3 foot dump with winds 50 to 70 mph.
The next day, the major drifts were apparent.
However, if I did not plow with the storm it
sure as hell would have been a disaster.

Do you have a bucket loader with a flail mower
or some other counterweight on the 3 point hitch
and chains on?
If not, you better head down to Ford New Holland
or John Deere and pull your wallet out.

I have handled Major situations behind the wheel
of these types of machines. Every one of my neighbors
begged me for help. Then after 8 days of no electrical power
their desperation became very apparent.
I felt it too.

Keep your brews cold,

No blame on the snow. I had the drive clear and ready, Robin was in too much pain and sick to go and made the call not to go. I never blamed anyone or anything. I was just noting it snowed before Christmas here last year and a bunch for this neck of the woods. I was actually pleased because she loved to look out the window at it and reminded her of Pa. I guess that was just me remembering , sorry dude. Now post some pics I love it as long as it doesnt stay around long.
