Trump has decent attendance at his rallies.

Does that have something to do with impeachment?

Impeachment is all about "Orange Man Bad".

For instance, President Trump is taking heat for Pardoning the Turkeys today.

“Orange Man Bad” is a weak rhetorical device used to side-step discussion.

On the other had, people are stupid.

ETA: Nice meme. Not factual.

Hmmm ... the aggregate at fivethrityeight.com isn’t showing that trend.

Support for impeachment is growing according to that metric.

Do Americans favor Impeaching President Trump?

Censure would be the smartest move the Dems have, which virtually assures that’s not what will happen.

~Yawn~

Fivethirtyeight also thinks that Rasmussen polls are biased right.

Rasmussen correctly called Trump's 2016 win.

Rasmussen has Trump's current approval rating at 52%... the highest in 26 months.

Rasmussen also has independent voters significantly against impeachment now... a 10% drop since the Schiff Show started.

Which is why smart Democrats (if that's even a thing) are backing away from impeachment.

So go by the polls that support your bias, I guess...

If I have to look at polls about Trump I'll go with the one that correctly called 2016.

The link I posted from fivethirtyeight is an amalgamation of poll results around 30 last time I checked.

You’re citing one.

It is what it is.

Trump should definitely send his counsel.

No doubt about it. Embarrass this sht-show up front by reading Pelosi’s memo to her caucus.

Then, if anyone wants to go forward, walk out and see ‘em in the Senate.

If he did that, then he'd have to admit that it's a legitimate hearing. That would require him, and his office, to cooperate with the subpoenas they've been stonewalling because It's all N illegitimate scam/hoax.

Or, maybe he has absolute immunity? In that case, why pay any homage or respect at all?

538? LOL! Mediabiasfactcheck says they're left-center and they're owned by ABC/Disney. Of course they're going to say that.

Rasmussen, touted as one of the most accurate polling companies has the opposite findings. Voters are tiring of the impeachment process and the support for impeachment is dropping.

Monday, November 18, 2019

The House impeachment hearings haven’t moved voters so far, with a plurality still expecting President Trump to be reelected next November. The number who thinks the president’s impeachment is likely hasn’t changed, but there’s sizable support for expanding the hearings to include the activities of Joe Biden and his son.

(snip)

Trump’s overall voter approval has been tracking up since last Wednesday, the first day of the House impeachment hearings. It was at 46% on Wednesday morning, then rose to 48% Thursday and to 50% by Friday. The president’s approval is at 50% again today. All three nights in today’s survey follow the highly-publicized hearings.

Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters say they have closely followed the impeachment hearings, with 42% who have followed Very Closely. Democrats (50%) are more likely than Republicans (36%) and unaffiliated voters (37%) to have followed Very Closely.

Among voters who have followed the hearings Very Closely, 46% think Trump is likely to be reelected; 28% say he will more likely be defeated by the Democratic nominee, while 21% expect him to be impeached before the end of his first term.

By the way, didn't you recently state that polls were unreliable and irrelevant? Or something to that effect?

I'm speaking to polls of Independents. We decide the elections and are the largest voting block. In the end, what matters is us.

What they are leaving out is that 50% of Independents poll at a solid no vs 45% yes, which is the opposite of before the televised hearings.

It will change again I'm sure. I think one question many of us are asking is, this close to the election, why not let the voters decide. It's not exactly rocket science to see the anti-Trump folks don't want an election.

I'm no Trump fan, but as it sits now, he's probably going to be there for a second term.

You have been saying since the start that impeachment is a political process not a legal one.

If your contention were really true, the Democrats would have nothing to lose by sending impeachment to the Senate. If people really wanted Trump gone, the Senate would be taking the risk by not convicting and yet everyone sure they won't. Even further, the vote to impeach must be shaky, so they aren't going to take one. Either that or they know they further risk the House by taking it even if it passes. Politically, it must not be winner no matter what the polls seem to say.

Since it is actually happening, perhaps "sham" is the wrong word?

Or, perhaps it has no meaning and actually the sham President of the sham United States will face a sham public sham meeting on sham impeachment on sham Wednesday, Dec 4th 2019.

Merry Shamsmas to all!

LOL...cute. You actually think he will get impeached.

How could i know, that decision is up to the vote and the evidence (which I haven't seen).

But I'm not pretending that the process isn't real and isn't happening, that would be krazy, right?

Impeachment is a political process; I didn’t say that, SCOTUS did.

You’re responding to my statement about fivethirtyeight’ s graphic that I linked to being a compilation?

Okay.

To call something a sham doesn't imply it's not happening.

Sham

1. a thing that is not what it is purported to be.
2. to falsely present something as the truth.
