Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Don't matter what we care to call the them.

Monarchies, Democracy, Oligarchy, Republic, Theocracy, Fascism, Communism.

Which in this day of age equates to monies and information rather than the jackboot of days gone by.

With that in mind, I'm not quite sure where a real solution lies

It's the uneven disproportionate fashion our power and wealth are spread out amongst our respective populations that's the main concern and reason those that have wield such control over those that don't.

Yet none of the systems of governance humanity has produced to date has ever addressed the problem in any kind of meaningful manner.

And that's because they're not supposed to.

Its a Wizard of OZ scenario if ever there was one.
