trolling this board I'm seeing three particular threads
*Epstein's death
*Prince Andrew's troubles and retreat from the public
*Hunter Biden getting loads of $ for being a 'consultant', and having a paternity issue.

what do these have in common?
the very rich are often behaving very, very badly, and I think more and more of the rest of us are going to be more and more angry at them, resulting in
..? anything?

imagine how many of us would be so happy to have just a fraction of the $ these people have. these people are unbelievably blessed, but instead of living useful lives they seem driven to be pigs.
how many stories have we heard about the wealthy spending thousand$ at gambling and laughing off financial losses that would cripple most of us.

I suppose lots of the very rich have always acted thus. maybe it's just a matter of social media outing these people, combined with mass / electronic media.
I remember a clip of Bernie Madoff walking down the street and some guy appears and punches him, and I thought, good for you. no jury would convict you for that.
how far are we from angry people mobbing rich people when they're out in public? storming them at their homes?

if we saw somebody like Alec Baldwin or Whoopie Goldberg getting bullied in public, how many of us would try to stop it, and how many would cheer, how many would ignore, how many of us would join in?

I'm really sick of these rich and elite types abusing their privileges and acting so immoral. most of us work our tails off for decades and barely stay afloat, and lots of us are concerned for our retirement / pensions in the future; and of course the younger ones are anxious to get established. hard not to feel a deep, deep resentment for the immoral rich.
will we see this resentment increase? will it turn into any action?
good opportunity for some politician to go on a make-the-rich-pay crusade. some democrats talk like that but most of them are connected millionaires that would never hurt their peers (Clintons, Sanders, Warren).

You can’t despise the rich and expect to become rich yourself. While some of their behaviors are unacceptable; it is the behavior that I disagree with and not their wealth. I respect those of great wealth and aspire to emulate their positive behaviors when it comes to asset management and attitudes towards money.

I have no objection to people acquiring and possessing wealth; I object to the ones who waste it so.

in 'The Time Machine' the elites turned into the Eloi and the working class became the Morlocks. we all know how that relationship went.

Government wants violence. This how they justify the billions spent on the police and incarceration state.

Ghandi level non-violent protest is the only way.

How about ripping people off, and screwing over and exploiting your employees? How about finding loopholes to get out of paying your fair share of taxes? You wanna emulate that?

Jesus. I come from a career in a large tobacco corp, and saw how it works. Those people can't be trusted with a 20ft pole. I am talking about all sides, not just the tobacco side. Big box retailers, corpo c-store chains, central distribution companies, all of em, greedy and out to capitalize on the work of their people, with record profits, while minimizing overhead on employment.

As opposed to socialism, where they would spend trillions on police and the incarceration state?

I see your point, but rich people aren't any more depraved than everyone else. It just gets magnified in the media.

Humans in general are pretty terrible.

Ridiculous, he won't see a jail cell, he will simply disappear out of the public eye.
