One of the troubling questions at the center of the impeachment inquiry, at least for Republicans, has been the work that Hunter Biden did for Burisma, one of Ukraine’s largest gas companies, while his father was serving as Vice President. But the intensity of interest in Washington is only making it more difficult to resolve the mystery.
To this day, Burisma’s connection to Hunter Biden has made it much harder for Ukrainian authorities to investigate the company for corruption, current and former officials in Ukraine tell TIME. In that sense, Burisma is still getting its money’s worth for the reported $50,000 per month it paid the younger Biden to sit on its board from 2014 until earlier this year.
“It’s too sensitive a topic,” says an official in Kyiv, who would only discuss the company’s case on condition of anonymity. “I think that we need to investigate Burisma. Not for Trump. And not against Biden. We need to do that because this is just a case of corruption,” says the official, who is familiar with the thinking of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. But the impeachment inquiry has “changed the context” around alleged corruption at Burisma, adds the official. “And this is bad.”
Since taking office this summer, the government’s new prosecutor general, Ruslan Ryaboshapka, has initiated a wide-ranging review of many old corruption cases, looking for signs that they were closed under suspicious circumstances. He has also forced prosecutors to undergo a series of examinations meant to test their competence and integrity. “There were many, many cases which were buried by my predecessors,” Ryaboshapka said in an interview on Nov. 13 with the Kyiv Post.

An article from Time magazine, a left leaning source that by no means carries water for Trunp, from Nov 20 of this year shows that Hunter Bidens role on Burisma is to this day affecting Ukraine's ability to investigate that company and its corrupt owner Zlochevsky

This is a startling admission.
Dem impeachment witness George Kent admitted it has been a goal of the US ever since Porosheno ousted former Ukrainian president Yankunovytch to have Burisma and Zlochevsky held accountable for their corruption
Now we know, as has been alleged y democrats and denied by democrats, that the new adminstartion of Zlelensky finds Hunter Bidens job in Burisma to be a factor in them not being able to properly investigate Burisma and its owner.
In fact, this has been money well spent by the corrupt owner of Burisma.
Now nearly every witness testified that although they assume Burisma is corrupt, they found an investigation into it to be either troubling for trump to want, or a waste of time. And certainly everyone is horrified that Hunter or Joe Biden would be investigated.
Biut now we know that Zlensky;s team does want to investigate Burisma, and in fact Hunter Biden being a part of it has harmed that.
This shows me that not only was trump right to want Burisma investigated, but also right in wanting Hunter, and his father Joe investigated as well. If the Ukrainians admit Hunters role has affected their ability to investigate, the US has the right to see if his role in the company not only affected Ukrainian investigations, but also US government decisions because of who is father was.
Even if Hunter never committed a crime, his connection clearly helped the corrupt company, and warrants an invetsigation.
Now remember, Zelensky has been unanimously praised by all dems and their witnesses in teh impeachment hearings as a good reformer who is finally fighting corruption.
So why wopuldnt the dems do everything they can to encourage Zelensky to investiate Burisma and wheteher Hunter bidens role in the company helped cover up crimes? Instead, the demand no investigation happen, and say it would help Russia.
Whats more, Zelensky's team is also saying the impeachment investigation itself is harming their ability to investigate the corrupt Zlochevsky.

So now they are afraid that the dems will claim any ivetsigation of Burisma is election interfernce to help trump and hurt Biden. Zelensky, as the dems have admitted, promised the Ukrainian people he would fight corruption. Now the dems impeachment efforts are forcing Zelensky to have to slow walk that promise.
Also, remember, Obama worked closely with Zelensky's predecessor Poroshenko. He gave him billions of dollars in aid, and even influenced their anti corruption agencies. All of the state dept officials we are told recognized Bide/Obama were correctr to issue their quid pro quo because we didnt want to give a corrupt country a billion dollar loan, but they also recognized after that prosecutor was out we should give the money to Poroshenko.
Well as the Ukrainian people vote shows, the corruption was rampant under poroshenko. And the new prosecutor under zelensky, who the dems and state dept say is a great man, says he wants to investigate cases his predecessors buried.
So add this all up.
Obama was giving huge amounts of aid to a corrupt administration. He and Biden issued a qpq to get a prosecutor fired, and then the Burisma case went to the Obama allied NABU which buried it.
Everyone agrees the new president zelensky is a good man fighting corruption. His team says both hunter bidens role in burisma, and the dems impeachment case is harming them from investigating Burisma and its owner, which they feel is very important to do. The new prosecutor admits the previous admin buried important cases.
And yet, despite all of this, the dems say trump wanting burisma and the bidens investigated is a crime, and would help russia.

Exactly how is Hunter Biden and the impeachment circus stopping Ukraine from investigating its own corruption?

Oh, so the Ukraine investigators and government are self paralyzed.
