How many bills have been passed to the Senate to vote on?

That was my point - but in fact I don't know. Have there been any?

Apparently so:

While Mitch McConnell claims the House is only focused on impeachment, there are scores of critical bills sitting on his desk sent to him by the House Democratic Majority. Among them are:
• H.R. 1 – For The People Act – Sent to the Senate 239 days ago.
• H.R. 8 – Bipartisan Background Checks Act – Sent to the Senate 248 days ago.
• H.R. 7 – Paycheck Fairness Act – Sent to the Senate 220 days ago.
• H.R. 1585 – VAWA Reauthorization Act – Sent to the Senate 212 days ago.
• H.R. 9 – Climate Action Now Act – Sent to the Senate 184 days ago.
• H.R. 5 – Equality Act – Sent to the Senate 169 days ago.
• H.R. 6 – Dream and Promise Act – Sent to the Senate 151 days ago.
• H.R. 582 – Raise the Wage Act – Sent to the Senate 107 days ago.

So the answer would still be no.

Why is one country passing bills for other countries?

No other countries are stepping in to save the US from its turmoils.

The reason America never protests or take to the streets no matter if its government spying on citizens, corruption, inequality, etc, is because the entire country is on drugs of some form or the other.

Apparently so:

Ah, ok, thanks - so, just a bunch of socialist/wacko/authoritarian bills that they knew would be DOA in a sane, republican controlled Senate.

In other words, a bunch of nothing, that would give them the appearance of doing something, without actually doing anything.

This entire deal was a British thing
Let them handle it.

Indeed, do you know the original 1897 treaty? Was it to return the area after 100 years with no strings attached?

It was. The other part , from 1997 , was an addon by the British.
A late addon .

Ok.

Does about as much good as passing something to enact International Carpenter Ant Day would. I.E, no useful or meaningful changes to be had.

In all honestly, it looks both stupid and immensely arrogant to pass things like this, as if trying to insinuate we're in control of everyone outside the borders whether they want us to be or not. We're not. We just flap our gums far too much for our own good is all.

well the protests in HK have been effecting the chinese economy and were in the middle of a trade war so it is related . the protests have been going on for 6 months and if they keep going on it can in theory help us with negotiations

and it highlights the issue china really fears not other nations but its own people rising up with hongkong they have the choice let them keep protesting and hoping they cross some line that looses them(the protestors) international support or they can try to crack down like tienamen square status in the age of the internet and risk the protests going to the mainland and that is what china is terrified of. they allready have millions in "re education camps" throw in them crushing dissent with their military and stuff could really popp off and even the PRC does not have good options if millions to half a frigging billion people all rise up at once and say screw our government arab spring style

I wondered if the US would intervene at some point.

The last time America intervened in the middle east and in Libya things haven't gone very well have they now? what makes you think Hong Kong would be any different? and of course this bill was only passed by Neo Con republicans.

I am sure they would also approve a intervention into Syria to.

umm it was passed unanimously in the senate and with only one vote against in the house (ironically a republican voted against in the house) so no its not Just the "neo cons" as you put it all but one member of senate and house voted for it......

www.reuters.com... idUSKBN1XU2RZ

As voting continued, the vote was an overwhelming 412-1 in favor of the “Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act,” sending it to the White House for President Donald Trump to sign into law or veto. The Senate passed it unanimously on Tuesday.
so i guess to quote trump you are fake news least on this issue pertaining to "its just the neo cons"

and this is for sanctions for human rights violations no invasions of any kind
www.msn.com... what rights getting violated you ask? well this lady alleges gang rape in police custody

A 16-year-old girl from Hong Kong claimed she was gang raped by police officers. Recent reports state that she got an abortion on Friday (Nov 8) as a result of the rape. The girl said she was walking past Tsuen Wan Police Station on Sept 27 when she was seized by police officers wearing riot gear. She was dragged inside a room in the station and was allegedly raped by the four officers. The Hong Kong Free Press reported that the girl was not wearing black nor was she protesting when she was abducted. The lawyer who represents the victim reportedly filed a rape case to the Complaints Against Police Office (Capo) on Sept 22. The victim has since had an abortion at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Yau Ma Tei.

www.chinadaily.com.cn... and as each side rachets up actions the abuses are much more likely to be more wide spread these days ,meanwhile they stil have millions of ethnic muslims locked up in "re education camps"

Diane Feinstein is a Senator, not a House Representative.

The bill is to have a report on the situation annually. We do so much business with the two it can affect us as well. But I'm sure you know we have gotten involved in several Asian countries' problems over the last several decades.
