It's a tradition started by Washington, but made somewhat official by Lincoln. Every president issues a proclamation every year declaring that year's Thanksgiving Day.

I was wondering, considering the reports of telcomms companies being given notice of net/TV/radio shutdown (BLACKOUT) - would it be an epic troll if this happened on BLACK FRIDAY? The day the deep state milks us cattle of our disposable income...

What would be the effect?

A large percentage of spending on Black Friday is online?

I hear that many companies make up to 30% of their profit on Black Friday... so they'd be hit hard... some would go under!

The people would be unhappy but equally they would have been saved from being cheated on a lot of false discounts?
