Mueller's prosecution of Stone and others was extra-judicial in the common usage of the term. He had broad powers and he used them, the Justice Department opting not to prosecute wasn't even an option on the table thanks to the ridiculously powerful and without oversight privileges granted the special investigator by one single party in Congress (meaning, again, it was absolutely a politically driven prosecution and Stone is a political prisoner.)

Mueller started his investigation under a Republican controlled House and Senate.

If he actually had something to plea I think he and his attorneys would have actually done that by now.

Roger Stone faces years in federal jail after he was found guilty today of lying to Congress about his efforts to procure stolen Democratic Party emails from WikiLeaks to help Donald Trump become President.

And the people that put him there have been lying for three straight years(actually longer).

From Russia to Kavanugh. To Ukraine.

To paying Foreign spies to write golden shower dossiers.

If anyone needs a pardon.

It's Stone.

The American people enjoy being lied to.

It's the sad reality made evident every day on this site when the partisan hacks make their threads and posts.

He is awaiting sentencing. Why do you think the charges will be dropped?
Isn't it too late for that? Charges get dropped before trial. Well he didn't exactly have a trial because he plead guilty before a judge but that was his day in court. Can charges be dropped after someone pleads guilty and why would the attorney general in any county be okay with it?
Sorry a lot of questions.

He knew the right answer and he gave a false one.
By choice no one twisted his arm.
He should have told the truth.

Well, Trump promised he'd drain the swamp.
People guilty of crimes are going to jail and all you Trump folks do is defend them day in day out.
It sure is tough to please y'all.

LOL...

This poster is still high on Trump's latest "Ukrainian One"fantasy con job, where Ukraine admits that it was them, not Russia, who interfered in the 2016 election, where Putin is cleared, Flynn is vindicated and Manafort if sprung!

Because he was set up, then they extorted a guilty plea out of him, and his new attorney has proof of it.

No need to believe me... just wait for it. Shouldn't be long now.

He'll get a pardon - even if Trump loses the 2020 election, he'll pardon him on his way out between November and the inauguration of a new President.
Liberals will cry foul, ignoring that Bill Clinton did exactly the same thing.

What have the House and Senate got to do with starting a Special Counsel?

It was Rod Rosensteins call after Sessions recused himself. Rosenstein - the guy who wanted to wear a wire to spy on Trump. He was appointed by Bush but became one of Holders attack dogs under the Obama administration. It was entirely a partisan Democrat effort calling for a Sepcial Counsel and Rosenstein obliged - illegally, I might add.

Great news - he's a vile little cocky scumbag and deserves it.

Justice is served.

Cry more, trump fans. It's amazing watching the mental gymnastics you all use to excuse these kinds of lying corrupt traitors when it fits your narrative.

The amount of deflection/diversion and whataboutism as usual just reflects how many hypocrites and partisan cretins swarm this board.

ATS is nothing but an alt right echo chamber these days. It's sad to see.

Justice wasn't served.

Stone is a POLITCAL prisoner.

Political HACKS are the people that put him there simply because he was on the wrong side.

Victimless, political, nonviolent crime... Putting a 67 year old in prison for any length of time, not to mention 50 years, over a victimless nonviolent crime is sort of the definition of fascism, isn't it? Roger Stone... Progressive America's very own version of Liu Xiaobo, Aung San Suu Kyi, and a light seasoning of Vaclav Havel. Good job Democrats, we now have political prisoners same as China, North Korea, or any of a myriad of communist dictatorship #holes.

I am sure you’d be saying the same thing if it was someone associated the Clinton / Obama administration doing this.right? Lol.

President Trump's Personal Attorney, his Campaign Chairman, Deputy Campaign Chairman, Campaign Adviser, Chief National Security Adviser, etc. now Roger Stone.

I still think if President Trump was sincere about wanting Hillary Clinton to go to jail he would have offered her a job.

The Federal Prosecutors responsible for Roger Stone's conviction work for the Trump Administration's DOJ and report to AG Barr. Are you suggesting the Trump Administration is fascist?

Perjury is not a victimless crime. It strikes at the heart of the justice system and discovery of the truth.
